Annotation of Functions which differ between ExpertALERT and StandardALERT

Database Management
1. StandardALERT will not be incorporated into the WATCHMAN Data Center as an optional
version of ALERT accessed through a web interface.
2. StandardALERT will not have the Event Tracker functionality. This tab would not be presented in
the Analyst View.

Operations
1. StandardALERT does not support synchronization with the WATCHMAN Data Center. Though
this may work through replication, it is an untested, unsupported feature. ExpertALERT and
ViewALERT are supported in Azima DLI’s hosted solutions.
2. The “Expert” menu in ExpertALERT will display as “Screen” in StandardALERT
3. StandardALERT cannot run the Expert Automated Diagnostic System (EADS) engine. The
“Screen” menu will not present “Run Expert System”.
4. StandardALERT will run a Fault Screening, Exception engine to produce limited reporting.
5. ExpertALERT will not run the Fault Screening, Exception engine as an option.
6. StandardALERT will not display automated repair recommendations with priorities.
7. StandardALERT will not have access to edit EADS rulebase or Expert System Editors.
8. ExpertALERT will produce MIDs with component codes, pickup codes, and fault frequencies.
9. StandardALERT will now allow the creation of MIDs.
10. ExpertALERT and StandardALERT allow the creation of machines, locations, and process points.
11. ExpertALERT allows the creation of machines and locations using the MID definitions.
12. StandardALERT will allow the creation of average baseline for manual comparison and screening
for analysis.
13. StandardALERT will not have the ability to perform the Quick Review function.
14. StandardALERT does not support creation of online system machines. The Machine edit
function to “Monitor On-line” would not be present.
15. StandardALERT does not support integration with CMMS systems. Though it may offer some
functionality, this is also not tested, non-supported.
16. ExpertALERT is a supported application for TRIO® Data Collector systems.
17. StandardALERT is not a supported application for TRIO® Data Collector systems.

Reporting
1. StandardALERT will not display automated system results.
2. ExpertALERT will display automated diagnostic system results.
3. StandardALERT will display Exception reports.
4. ExpertALERT will not display screening / exception reports.

Communication
1. StandardALERT will support same data collector communication protocols as ExpertALERT.
