Building New India
Building New India
“In the face of impossible odds, people who love this country can change it”, greatly said by a
lawyer, author, and ex-president of USA, “Barak Obama”.
Building new India is a enormous concept. It should be done by the both sides government as
well as citizen. In India building a new nation is a micro-level process which emphasis on every
individual duties and responsibilities, where every citizen has the fundamental rights as well
as fundamental duties. Rights enforcement institution and authority exist here but enforcement
of duties of every citizen can be done by citizen themselves. Therefore, it should be obligation
on the citizen to come ahead and contribute his or her role in building a new India.
Firstly, the Indian citizen must aware with his rights and duties. The fundamental duties which
is incorporated in constitution of India through 42nd amendment act, 1976 apart from these
duties every citizen has various kinds of duties towards his society and nation. He is expected
to do same. They have moral duty, civic duty and other certain duties performed by every
citizen because while the government is planning and studying about fund and organising its
big thought nothing is being done. But the citizen who willing to think little and accepting the
discipline of that, to go ahead on his own, is already solving the problem. A man who is trying
to live as a neighbour to his neighbours will have a lively and practical understanding of the
work of the peace and brotherhood, and let there be no mistake about it he is already doing that
work. A man who is willing to undertake the discipline and the difficulty of mending his own
ways is worth more to the conservation movement than a hundred who are insisting merely
that the government and the industries mend their ways.
Citizens have moral duties is showing towards his behaviours in society. It is performed by all
citizen in a society in their day-to-day life activities. All the thing we do in our daily life like
respecting parents, elders, loving juniors and helping needed people. It is the moral duty of
every one that he should lend a helping hand to the poor and down-trodden.
Democracy cannot establish deep roots in society until the citizens don’t
complement fundamental rights with their fundamental duties. Let us
remember the sacrifices of our brave jawans and officers of our security
forces who laid down their lives while performing their duties to keep
thecountry safe and secure.
The greatness of a country depends not on her material resources, but on
her men and women. A nation is great if her citizens are great.
