Ans. There is a need for more and more people to be able to successfully communicate in English
grown greatly because it is growing in origins. The increase learning in teaching of English
throughout the world during recent years involves states and commercial educational institution has
produced a new cadre of professionals.

2. What does TESOL stand for?

Ans. TESOL stands for Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages .

1. Why do students abroad want to study English?

Ans. Students abroad want to study English because of their job, to study abroad, to understand
their favourite pop song or watch English-language.

2. What are the stages of a Communicative Approach lesson?

Ans. The stages of a Communicative Approach lesson are as follows:

 Warm-up: where students get ready and shift focus onto learning
 Review: where the students previous lesson is reviewed and reinforced
 Target Language: where the core content of the lesson is introduced
 Activities: where the students practice the target language presented.

1. What makes a good teacher?

Ans. What makes a good teacher is that Elicits (don’t directly tell your students the answer; ask
them! Eliciting will help them participate more actively) , Demonstrates (show them ,don’t tell
them. Lower level students will understand actions better than long instructions/explanations. Don’t
forget to ask short questions to check understanding) Does take ups (Summarize and condense key
learning through an activity such as a group demo. Give feedback afterwards).

2. What is a method used by the teacher to consolidate the learning?


Ans. Method used by the teacher to consolidate the learning is through Needs Analysis and Study
techniques.

Ans. The different types of English study is General English, English for specific Purposes (ESP),
Conservation Class, English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

2. Why is it important to know your student?

Ans. It is important to know your student in order for you to know the Students Interests and
Motivation. If you know what your student interests need or want out of English lessons, teaching
becomes much easier.
