Chapter 1

BUSINESS PROFILE

This chapter discusses all about the Company Profile, Company

name and logo, Vision, Mission, Core Purpose, Core Values, Company

Tagline, Location, Floor Plan products and services, Competitive Edge and

Company Jingle.

Company Profile

Cake is a form of sweet dessert that is typically baked in their oldest

forms. Cakes were modifications of breads but now, cakes covered a wide

range of preparations that can be simple or elaborate and that sharing

features with other desserts such as pastries, meringues, custards, and

pies.

The business named Tin Cake was established last 2018 by the

following proponents: Gerry Mae A. Gardo, John Patrick M. Ibo, Maila G.

Balingbingan, Myko Joseph Bello and Nariel Vedad, a BSHRM Students of

Bestlink College of the Philippines. The business is located at # 31 P Obre

St. Barangay San Agustin, Novaliches Quezon City. The researchers

decided to innovate a new and exciting dessert product that has a

different concept. The proponents is hired a Manager, Supervisor,

Financial Statement, Cashier and Baker. The Company will have a 7

employees to operate this company. The proponents invested

1,000.000.00 pesos each, with a total of 5,000.000.00 pesos. The company

named its product as Tin-Cake, because “Tin ” is a lidded air tight

container made of tin plate or aluminum while “CAKE” is a soft, sweet

food made from a mixture of flour, shortening, eggs, sugar, and other

ingredients, baked or fried.

To make it more attractive, the proponents decided to place it in a

can for a new and unique way for the customers to enjoy their when are

travelling.

The proponents decided to put up the business at #31 P.OBRE

Street Brgy. San Agustin Novaliches, Quezon City. The fund of the

business is funded not limited to from the proponents budget. The target

market includes but not limited residents of #31 P. Obre St. Students, Walk-

Ins/Commuters that passes along Susano Road. Those are the target

market of the business that will bring more profit for the Business to be able

to create new and exciting flavors that will suit the taste of the customers.

Business Name and Logo

The proponents chose the name “Tin-Cake” from the word “Tin”

which means the product itself is placed on a tin-can that gives a unique

and exciting twist for everyone. The proponents agreed to established the

business because they literally loved to eat cakes and became idealistic in

making this kind of concept. Due to strong partnership and support among

the proponents, the business become easy to operate especially in times

of crisis. The proponents believe that stronger the organization, the faster

business to grow.

Tin-Cake is not only just a product itself, but it’s concept that makes

the product more unique and innovative compared with the other

competitors.

logo, perfectly designed the Tin-Cake concept.

Tin-Cake has varied brown colored shades. The proponents

decided to choose brown color so that customers can easily identify the

product as cake. The brown color represents wholesome, reliability,

elegance, stability and honesty. Brown color affects the mind and body as

it creating feelings of wholesomeness, maintenance and peace. It provides

relaxation and warmth. Brown also symbolizes dependability, growth,

fertility, and approachability.

Vision

To become prominent in cake industry that provides exceptional

quality product and services with consistent and unique concepts that the

customers will enjoy

Mission

To provide customers with a high standard of food service and

hygiene, shares the abilities to ensure great satisfaction guaranties to all

stakeholders.

Tagline

“Dessert on the Go”

The above is conceptualized as it is easy to be remembered.

It collaborate with the customers who are busy and having no time

for Dine-in, hence they can just grab and run – easy to bite while

travelling.

Core Purpose

1. To create a new and unique quality product with different kinds of

flavors that will suit the taste of the customers.

2. To sustain the customers’ needs by providing quality and value for

money.

3. To provide them with 100% satisfaction in terms of the food, service

and cleanliness.

4. To provide consistent quality standards.

5. To deliver just and equal treatment to all stakeholders.

Company Location

The business is located at #31 P.OBRE Street Brgy. San Agustin

Novaliches, Quezon City. Which is in proximity to various schools and

establishment. TIN-CAKE is very visible along the highway. Its target

market are student and the people who are residing the area. The

proponents strongly believed that the location is visible due to its mixed-

population with busy streets and areas where the main target are apparent

and on the go.

Accessibility and Visibility

The location of the store is in proximity to the schools, subdivisions

and all establishments that are located near the TIN-CAKE. The store is

accessible to all customers. Furthermore, the place is along the highway

and near the side walk area

 From SM Fairview, ride a jeep at the terminal having a sign board

“Glori Bayan” A regular pay of 9.00 pesos while students, PWD ,

and senior citizens fare is only 8.00 pesos. The travel time takes

approximately 15 minutes without traffic. If traffic occurs it will take

20 to 25 minutes travel time going to Glory Bayan, then as you reach

the Glory Bayan get down and ride a jeep going to Kiko Camarin,

Zapote, or Bagong Silang just pay 9 Pesos as a regular fare and for

student’s /PWD/ Senior just pay 8 pesos as discount of 20%, it takes

5 to 10 minutes going to your destination.

 Another way to reach TIN-CAKE is by taking a tricycle at the terminal

25 pesos with a special fare of 25 pesos and 10 pesos for regular

fare.

Actual Photo

The TIN-CAKE establishment size is 50.31 sqm. We

customized the door and the window to catch the customer’s eyes.

The logo of the TIN-CAKE is engraved at the window glass as a trade

mark of the business. The rental fee per month is 10,000.00 per

month. The property was for rent during that time.

This figure 1.3 shows the actual front view of the TIN-CAKE

establishment. It has a window glass and a parking space for the

customers who want to dine-in at TIN-CAKE. The customers can

view the inside part of the establishment especially the dining area.

Layout or Floor plan of the Store

The layout of the establishment gives a natural way how the

concept should be when planning to organize the layout of the

establishment. One of the big factors in offering and selling the

product is the good ambiance of the establishment where in it is not

just the product itself but also the cleanliness and hygiene of the

establishment.

view. We customized the door and the window to catch the

customer’s eyes. We engraved the logo of the TIN-CAKE on the

window and at the door to symbolize the business establishment.

of 22.35 sqm that can accommodate customers who want to Dine-in.

establishment is 33.2006sqm.

can be accommodate 32 customers.

The figure shows the Fire exit plan of Tin-Cake Establishment

where in as stated in the Republic Act 9514 otherwise known as the

fire code of the Philippines of 2008 that every establishment should

provide fire exits. It also shows the Garbage Disposal of the

establishment under also the Republic Act 9003 that declares the

policy of proper solid waste management proper segregation and

disposal of solid waste.

also expanded the dining area where in the second dining area can

establishment a 2 story type of business where in it can also occupy

the 2nd floor Terrace or balcony area of the establishment this 4th

dining area is good for those customers who loves to eat and get

don’t need to go down just to do your stuff. It is also equip with

Tin-Cake Establishment.

The Master blueprint of the renovation and expansion of TIN-CAKE

establishment shows and indicates the top view of the establishment. It

shows the new area or size of TIN-CAKE establishment as indicated on

the figure. On the side left view it indicates the length area of the

establishment which is 60.sqm while the width area is 89.4 sqm. The

renovation added 50 sqm for the width area of the establishment and

additional 10 sqm for the length of the establishment. The total additional

sqm for the renovation and expansion of the entire establishment was 60

sqm a total of 149.4 sqm all in all.

Business Structure

The researchers use general partnership where in. Where in two or

more individuals agree to share in all assets, profits and financial and legal

liabilities. The partnership invests of 1,000.000.00 pesos each. Hence an

annual report regarding the income, sales report, and the losses of sales

from the operations must be declared and filed. Each of the partner should

include his or her tax return.

‘N cream which is the perfect snack combination. The company must

always observe Competitive edge to attract more customers in the area.
