I think my first trip to New Zealand was the best experience of my life. I met quite a lot
of people there. I made acquaintance with Jenny, Harry, Joseph, Rexi and Bryan. They
introduced me to their families. We had barbeque times in Rexi’s and Joseph’s house.
Joseph and Jenny are brother and sister while Rexi and Bryan are twins.
You can find sheep almost everywhere in New Zealand. The tranquil meadow where
the sheep graze always appears in my mind every time I go to sleep. Jenny’s father has a lot
of sheep and he showed me his wool cutting machinery, which he uses to collect the
sheep’s fur before processing it into wool thread.
For some people touring is a relaxing experience. Yet, for me it is completely the
opposite. I had to spend time more than 24 hours in the same clothes with greasy hair and 3
hours of sleep. I would rather have traveled from Auckland to Milford Sound in more easy
way. We could have spent a night or so in a hotel, not in our vehicle. However, having a
bunch of friends along the way parked me up. It makes me want to come back to New
Zealand again.

In the jungle of Aceh, parakeet birds lived peacefully with their wise king. However, now their
peaceful life was disturbed. A hunter went into their jungle and planned to catch them.
It's a beautiful morning. The parakeets and their king perch on a branch of tree. They did not
know that the hunter was hiding. The hunter wanted to catch the parakeets with his net. The hunter
threw his net towards the parakeets. Some parakeets and the parakeet king were caught under the
net. The parakeets were scared but the parakeet king told them what to do.
"Relax. I have a plan. We all pretend to be dead. When the hunter lifts the net up, we fly fast
to the sky," advised the parakeet king. The hunter went to his net. He was upset! He thought all the
parakeets were dead.
"Oh, no! I can't sell dead birds to people." He then lifted the net up.
Not long after that, the parakeets freed themselves and flight to the sky. But the parakeet king
was still trapped. He did not want to fly to the sky until the parakeets were free. The hunter was
surprised when he saw the parakeets were flying. He saw there was one parakeet left in the net. He
moved quickly. "Gotcha!" he caught the parakeet king. And then the hunter went home. He put the
parakeet king in a birdcage.
In the jungle, all the parakeets were sad because their king was locked in a birdcage. They
set a plan to free their king. All the parakeets flew to the hunter's house. With their beaks, the
parakeets pecked the birdcage. Slow but sure, the birdcage was destroyed. Then the parakeet king
could free himself.
“Thank you. You all are very kind to me. Without your help, I'm still trapped in this birdcage,"
said the parakeet king.
Wood is one of our oldest natural resources. Buildings, furniture, tools, boats and paper are just some
of the things we can make from wood. Wood can be cut and carved into beautiful shapes; it is warm to
touch; and is strong but springy enough to be made into diving boards and cricket bats.
Wood is made of millions of fibers-the majority of which are cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin. Wood is
durable, does not rust and, if properly treated, it can last for hudreds of years.
The wood we use comes from many types of trees. The two main types ’hardwoos’ and ’softwood’. The
wood, or ’timber’ from each type of tree is different, both in colour and pattern (the grain).
Softwoods produce their seeds in ’cones’. They often have needle-like leaves and are evergreen.
Hardwoods are strong and tough trees which have broad leaves. Some are deciduous trees, losing

The Power of Music in our life
Do you agree that music is important in our life? Yes I do, music has certain role
completing our day to day activities. Here are some reasons why music is heard everywhere and
anywhere. Music is a way to express feelings. When we fall in love, the kind of music we’d listen
to would be all about love. When we’re sad, we would go for music that is melancholic in nature and
immerse ourselves in the sadness. When we’re happy, we’d choose songs with happy tunes too.
Song can help to memorize the last experiences. A favorite song is a powerful documentary.
People with Alzheimer which are impaired the brain would remember details about songs they were
familiar with. For example, an elderly woman who couldn’t even remember her husband’s name
would remember the details of her favorite song; when it was played, how it made her feel and things
about the song that made it especially memorable for her.
Further, music can unite people for a cause and changes the world. A song with good lyric
and striking deep chord can stimulate the universal feeling of all people. We can see it in the case of
the famous and legendary Michael Jacson's Heal the World. It can arouse humanism of a lot people
in this world. So what would the world be like without music? It would be lonely.

There are several positive and negative impacts of the internet on education. One of the
positive impacts of the internet to education is when you are curious about somethd it can improve
your knowledge. You find out any information to feed your “learning hunger” immediately from the
internet. If you are curious about the ants in your backyard, or if you want to know more about
dinosaurs or any other prehistoric animals, there is abundant of information at your fingertips and it
can improve your knowledge.
On the other hand, some would argue that the internet degrades the quality of research
throwing people into areas where the answers they find are low-quality guesses, at best. Since the
internet allows anyone to publish, finding high quality information which is sometimes difficult. The
internet also can be a huge distraction, like many other things that distract from serious inquiry.
34. Which of the following is NOT a good effect of the internet on education?
A. The internet can avoid a serious inquiry
B. The internet can make education cheaper

Sometimes parents question whether they should have their children study at a course or just by
themselves. When students feels weak in a certain subject, attending a course is good for them.
However, parents should not force their children to attend many courses.
Students who attend many courses may be dependent on their course teachers. They will feel
that they have 'someone' to go to when they have problems. They will just ask their teachers to help
them do difficult assignments, without knowing the process of solving a task.
Besides, attending many courses will make students tired, with less time to rest. As a result, they
cannot concentrate and absorb well what they have learned, both at school or courses.
Based on the above reasons, it is clear that attending many courses is not good for students.
Therefore, it is better if students attend only one or two courses a week. Moreover, parents should
make -sure that their children benefit from the courses they attend, either by observation or
questions to the children.
