ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study focused on how teenagers fall into peer pressure and
how it affect the individuals .Peer Pressure on Teenagers is state where you strive to fit
in with peers and begin to spend less of with time with families and more of it engaged in
activities with friends. Peer pressure can have negative and positive effects on teenagers.
Negative impacts include identity loss, individuality and disorders. It also makes one feel
unhappy and empty and the Positive peer pressure results in a person feeling better,
healthier or happier. Teenagers who are experiencing from Peer Pressure in a bad way
are very vulnerable on the other hand Peer Pressure in a good way use these pressures
as challenges and motivation. All the influences you experience and encounter will help
you to be molded and become better human being and that everything is a matter of a
choice.

Peers are people who you socialize with or that are similar to you in age, interests,
or in some other way. Peers can include people you are friends with, go to school with,
work with or meet at an event. Peer pressure is when you are influenced by other people
(your peers) to act in a certain way. If you're with friends who are doing something that
you typically would not do and they convince you to do what they are doing. The way
pressure is applied by peers can vary. A peer might pressure you directly by asking you
to do something, or they might tease or coax you so that you will fall in line with their
behavior. They may not say anything at all; instead, they may pressure you by treating

pressure, often on a daily basis. It is how children and teens learn to get along with others
of their own age group and eventually learn how to become independent. Depending on

lead to negative body image and self-esteem as well as severe mental disorders feeling.
Teenagers suffering from this matter tend to be unhappy and will also result to change
their body size or shape. On the other hand teenagers who are dealing Peer Pressure in
a good way and use these pressures as challenges and motivation will be leading to
positive such as to exposure to healthy lifestyles and role models, and eventually leading
the young person to become a positive role model herself.
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
In the 19th century Teenage Peer Pressure arises, An emphasis on the historical
context of development is perhaps especially important now, with the accelerating pace
of cultural change that has taken place around the world in recent decades due to the
influence of globalization. Especially in economically developing countries, the pace of
change in recent decades has been dramatic, and young people often find themselves
growing up in a culture that is much different than the one their parents grew up in.
Globalization is a pervasive influence on the lives of young people today.Several Theories
emerged in middle 20th century that assigned on peer influence.
SUMMARY
In conclusion, peer pressure is something that most young people are going to
have to face when they are growing up. It can be incredibly difficult to deal with especially
when you are on the negative side which has lots of negative effects that may ruin you
and Teenagers are becoming more independent, focusing on the opinions of his or her
peers instead of his or her parents, they are rebellious, and they act abstractly and
rationally on the other when you are in the positive side it will serve as a motivation and
when teenagers are motivate, they will succeed with a sense of accomplishment that will
mold you more as a teenager.
