"Sri Panchayudha-Stotra" is almost never read separately, since in the Sri

Ramanuja-Sampradaya Tradition this Stotra is always pronounced with the recitation of "Sri
Vishnu-SahasraNama" (either before or after), that is, in essence, this is a small Stotra appendix
to 1000 Names of Lord Sri Vishnu.

The Phala Shruti of this Stotra provides for the possibility of a separate recitation as Kawachi -
such a recitation of only 5 Mantras is quite acceptable for beginners, for example, for those who
have not yet learned Sri Vishnu-SahasraNam and complex Kawachi.

Mantra 1 - translation: "I take refuge with the Chakra Bhagavan Sri Vishnu (Sri Sudarshan
Chakra). The radiance of Sri Sudarshan Chakra is like the radiance of a billion Suns, and the
burning pain of Its rays is like burning thousands of lights. May such pain take as many lives as
possible. rakshasas, asuras, and other enemies of the divine jivas. "

Additional meanings that are useful to know: Sloka 1 is an appeal to Nigraha-Shakti Bhagavan
Sri Vishnu (that is, punishing or punishing Shakti Bhagavan Sri Vishnu, न ह - nigraha -
translated from Sanskrit as "punishment, suppression, rejection, binding" ).

Such Nigraha Mantras are always recited at the beginning of the Yajnas dedicated to Bhagavan

Mantra 2 - translation: "I take refuge with Sink of Bhagavan Sri Vishnu, which shines like a
billion moons and which is endowed with the incredible luck of touching the lips of Lord Sri
Vishnu. The sound of Sink of Bhagavan Sri Vishnu shatters all the pride and arrogance of the
raksasas / asuras, chilling horror in their hearts. "

Additional meanings that are useful to know: In Sri Nachiar Tirumoli, Srimati Andal-Devi
poetically praises the extraordinary fortune of Sink Vishnu Bhagavan Sri Vishnu in Sringara
Rasa and asks the Sink of the Lord Sri Vishnu to share with Her Ananda the lips of the Beloved
Lord.

through cutting off heads."

Additional meanings that are useful to know: The Sword of Bhagavan Sri Vishnu embodies
Vaishnava-Gyana, while the scabbard of this Sword embodies Agyan (Avidya, literally "hiding

Additional meanings that are useful to know: Srimati Andal-Devi writes about a hail of arrows
from the Luka Bhagavan of Sri Narayana in the Mantra "saarngam udaittha sara mazhai pol"
from "Sri Tiruppavai". One of the innermost meanings of this hail of arrows is the
Vaishnava-Gyana stream, which leads the divine jivas to Mukti in Sri Vaikuntha.

In Yudha Khanda, Sri Raghuvira Gadiam, Sri Vedanta Desika glorifies the city of arrows, which
