Core Subject Title: ENTREPRENEURSHIP No. of hrs./ semester: 80 hrs
I. LEARNING COMPETENCIES
During the lesson, the learners shall be able to

The teacher will ask question “Class, who among you here wants to open or start up a
business? If you have the opportunity now, what kind of business is it? Why?
(Student will answer the question) Nice! What inspires you to open that kind of
business? How about the others? Okay class, since not all of you here doesn’t want to
be a entrepreneur, I will ask you,”
After asking those questions, the teacher will emphasize to the students that there
are those individuals who are motivated to fulfill their dreams in life because of
their status of living.
Also, the teacher will; give a clear example of a particular person who is considered
“the richest man in the country” in the person of Henry Sy, Sr.
“Before we go on to our lesson proper, I will show you a short video clip of Henry Sy,
Sr. to inspire and motivate you on your dreams in life”
(*It is to be noted that a video clip about the story of Henry Sy Sr. will be
presented)
D. Lesson Proper
- The students will be asked about their ideas on entrepreneurship based on the
motivational activity.
- The teacher will ask the students with the following questions:
1. What is Entrepreneurship?
(A student will volunteer to answer)
“Very good! Entrepreneurship is the process of designing, launching and
running a new business, which is often initially a small business.
“Can you cite some examples of successful entrepreneurs in national and local
setting”. (Student will answer)

The teacher will emphasize to the students the importance and appreciate the role of an
entrepreneurship in helping Filipino families rise from poverty.
