iBridge 440
iBridge 440 is a flexible wireless backhaul and IP transport solution. iB440 is available
for license-exempt frequencies as well as for lightly licensed frequencies at 5 GHz.
Customers looking for a solution on wireless backhaul can quickly deploy a point-to-
point connection between two office locations or LTE base station sites. iB440 products
can be deployed in any license exempt or lightly licensed 5 GHz frequencies (5.150-
5.350 GHz, 5.470-5.725 GHz, 5.725-5.850 GHz, and other bands too). Products are used
for value-added applications like LTE backhaul, CCTV (security cameras), backhaul to
industrial and enterprise networks, and backhaul to Wi-Fi hotspots and Hotzones.
iBridge 440 can operate over channel sizes up to 80 MHz and uses CSMA and TDMA
protocols. It supports link capacity of up to 400 Mbit/s and loaded network latencies of
around 4ms one-way.
iBridge 460
Airspan’s iBridge 460 operates in Unlicensed 5 GHz bands and also in lightly licensed
bands like 3.65 GHz in the US. iBridge provides a highly efficient point to multipoint
or point to point wireless backhaul solution using advanced OFDMA technology. The
system is self-provisioning, self-aligning and self-optimising with optimal performance
in mixed non Line of Sight and line of sight environments.

iBridge 440 & 460: Key Features
Rapid Deployment
Airspan’s innovative antenna steering technology provides an easy, rapid, plug and play deployment model. Feeder
Terminal and Base units are able to automatically align removing the need for manual alignment during initial
deployments and subsequent network up-scopes, e.g. moving from PTP to PTMP operation. iBridge self-alignment
capabilities reduce OPEX and ensure backhaul links are robust, and can easily adapt as new nodes are introduced to the
network.
iBridge backhaul supports self-healing, allowing the network to automatically recover in the event of failure. This in-
creases overall service availability and customer satisfaction.
Fronthaul Architecture
iBridge enables a future-proof architecture which can evolve to support Fronthaul for small cell virtualisation. iBridge
has been optimized around Airspan’s AirRAN solution, supporting low latency communications between the Virtualized
RAN and distributed small cells to provide low cost Massive MIMO.
mmWave
iBridge is also available in mmWave V-BAND and E-BAND frequencies (60GHz & 80GHz). mmWAVE products provide
signifcantly more capacity than wireless backhaul networks operating at lower frequencies, allowing denser
deployments of small cells, and higher capacity small cells. Furthermore, the separation of radio and baseband assets in
5G wireless architectures will drive the need for very high data rate, very low latency frontal connections, which iBridge
mmWave has been optimised for.
