Installation and configuration of Commvault

V11_SP13
Installation of Commvault software in Client Server
You can create a custom package with the agents and options required for your Windows
computers.

Procedure
1. Log on to a Windows computer as an Administrator or as a member of the Administrator
group on that computer.

2. Run Setup.exe from the installation package.

3. The installation wizard opens. On the welcome page, select the I Agree check box
and proceed to the next page.
4. On the welcome page, select the I Agree check box and proceed to the next page.

5. On the Choose the Installation Type page, click Create a custom package to
install on a different computer and proceed to the next page.
6. Select Windows Processor Type.

7. On Custom package Install type select New Installation and proceed to next step.
8. On the Select Package Option, click on Select Packages and proceed to next step.

9. On Custom Package Location, Select Folder location for Custom Packages.


10. Select Custom Packages for Windows Client and proceed to next step.

11. On Custom Package Options, default selected and proceed to Next step.
12. On Install status Click Finish for finishing the Custom Packages creation.
Installing Commvault locally on Windows computers using installation Package

You can install agents and other Commvault software by using the installation package
that was created.

Procedure
1. Log on to the computer as an Administrator or as a member of the Administrator
group on that computer.

2. Run Setup.exe from the installation package.

3. The Installation wizard opens. Select Language.


4. On the Welcome page, select the I Agree check box, and then proceed to the
next page.

5. On the Choose the installation Type page, Click Install Packages on this
computer, and then proceed to the next page.
6. On the Select Packages page, select the packages to install proceed to next step.

7. On the Select Installation Path page, click next to proceed.


8. On Configure Roles Select default and Click on next to proceed.

9. On Installation Summary page, Click on next to proceed.


10. Setup will continue installation.

11. Installation in Progress.


12. Installation progress screen.

13. On Network Configuration Page, Select the appropriate Option and click next.
14. On Client Computer Information, Fill the client Details and Click on next to
proceed.

15. On CommServe Information, Fill the details of CommServe Master Server and
click next to proceed.
16. On Network Configuration page, Click on Yes, Disable Firewall for All Profiles.

17. On Client Certificate page, Click on Next to proceed to next step.


18. Installation and Configuration of Client Completed click on Finish.
