How to replace a fuel filter

on Mercedes-Benz A W168

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Lift the car and set it on jack stands.


Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors
are poisonous.

Before replacing the filter on the Mercedes-Benz A W168


make sure that the fuel tank is filled no more than 3/4 of its
volume.

Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fastening bolts. Loosen the fuel supply lines fastening to the fuel
filter.

Remove the fuel filter

Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel


filter.

Install a new fuel filter. Connect the fuel supply lines to the fuel filter and
tighten the fasteners.

Tighten the fuel filter bracket fastening bolts.
