Unsettled Grade - 11 students in Moonwalk National High School in choosing track

Introduction
Most of the students experience this type of problem and they don’t know what to do in the near
future, as they are uncertain on their chosen strand. In our case, it usually involves undertaking
research or a project as well. These students that are indecisive, we will know why and what is
the reason and how important it is for they need to know about this topic.

Background of the Study

As we all know, many sorts of these students are really undecided and some of them are just
forced by their parents, or driven by confusion. This is because, they haven’t plan or think about
what will they do in the near future and some are, just don’t really know what and why. It is
really hard for some students to decide, in which why it is necessary for us to do this research.

Statement of the Problem

In Moonwalk National High School, several students are undecided on their strand. Most are
Grade – 11 Students picking The General Academic Strand (GAS). However will they be
decided and finally satisfied with picking their course eventually?.

Definition of Terms
In this research, the term “indecisive Grade – 11 students picking The General Academic
Strand” is used to mean “The Grade – 11 students that are undecided mostly picked The
General Academic Strand (GAS)” – in, which it is designed for students who are not decided
yet on what course they want to take in college.

Methodology
In order to satisfy the objectives of the dissertation, a qualitative research was held. The main
characteristic of qualitative research is that it is mostly appropriate for small samples, while its
outcomes are not measurable and quantifiable. Its basic advantage, which also constitutes its
basic difference with quantitative research, is that it offers a complete description and analysis of
a research subject, without limiting the scope of the research and the nature of participant’s
responses (Collis & Hussey, 2003).
Data Gathering Procedure
For the purposes of this research, in depth interviews were used. In depth interviews are personal
and unstructured interviews, whose aim is to identify participant’s emotions, feelings, and
opinions regarding a particular research subject (Fisher,2005, Wilson, 2003). We, as the
researchers will use direct observation and focus on our subjects.

Instrumentation
The Researchers used for collecting data are surveys, interviews, questionnaires to the students
in MWNHS. It is basically giving queries to the students and such surveys. It is the most
important section in gathering data on a specific study in which it is not allowed to be forgotten.

Research Locale
The setting of the study of the researchers for Moonwalk National High School E. Rodriguez
Barangay Moonwalk Parañaque City.

Participants and Sampling Technique

The participants that we will be selecting are the Grade – 11 students at Moonwalk National
High School. The Researchers will select their subject using the Stratified & Cluster sampling to
pick a respondents to their study.
