    Lightweight Insulating Vermiculite Concrete

    Newkem Product Corporation, a pioneer in the insulation industry in India since 1953
    brings to you NUKOKRETE®, a lightweight insulating concrete enabling architects,
    engineers and contractors versatility in design, energy efficient construction, high thermal
    and physical performance.

    NUKOKRETE is a dry premix consisting of vermiculite, which is a lightweight insulating


    aggregate, Portland cement and additives that can be gunnited or trowel applied as
    required on site. Vermiculite is a natural mineral of the phyllosilicate group which is
    exfoliated in purpose designed commercial furnaces.

    NUKOKRETE conforms to the ASTM C332-56T (Group 1) Standard.

    Application Methodology

    NUKOKRETE can be laid over the RCC Slab or Metal Deck Panel in 50mm to 150mm
    thickness. Requisite water (0.8-1.2 ltrs/kg) should be added to the dry NUKOKRETE premix and
    has to be mixed thoroughly before placement.

    Spraying of water for curing should be done thrice a day in summer and twice a day in
    winter for 4 to 6 days.

    Over the NUKOKRETE slab a water proofing system is necessary and can be done by IWP,
    IPS-tiles and torchlay membrane systems.
