Database Recovery After Crash

This document describes two methods to resolve the ORA-01194 error when trying to open a database after recovery. Method 1 involves repeatedly recovering the database using the backup control file until the correct archived redo log is applied. Method 2 bypasses normal recovery by opening the database in resetlogs mode, then manually configuring the undo tablespace and setting undo management to auto.
