dimensions of the area if the enclosed plot is to be as large as possible? What is the largest area? Sketch the
graph.

10. The Marikina shoe company will produce a special-style shoe if the order is large enough to provide
reasonable profit. To produce special-style, the company incurs a fixed cost of Php 10, 000 for the production
set-up. The variable cost is Php 30 per pair and each pair sells for Php 80. Find the expression for profit 𝑃. Sketch
the graph.

11. A manufacturing company determined that their profit is a function P(u) of the number of units they
produce. It can be calculated as 𝑃(𝑢) = 75𝑢 − 15000. If the company wants to earn a profit of ₱120000, how
many units should they produce? (Use inverse function). Sketch the graph.

12. Graph the function 𝑓 (𝑥 ) = (𝑥 + 1)(𝑥 − 4), does 𝑓 −1 (𝑥)? If it does find 𝑓 −1 (𝑥) and determine whether 𝑓 −1 (𝑥 ) is
a function.
