1. All electrical works herein shall be done in accordance with the provision of the latest
edition of Philippine Electrical Code, the rules and regulations of the local utility
company and the laws and ordinances of the local code enforcing authority.
2. The overhead service-drop conductors shall have a minimum vertical clearance from
ground of 3000 mm.
3. Electric Service shall be 1-phase, 2-wire, 230 Volts, 60 Hz.
4. Type of wiring methods shall as follows:
a) Rigid Steel Conduit (RSC) for service entrance.
b) Intermediate Metallic Conduit (IMC) for feeder line, unless otherwise noted in plans.
c) Polyvinyl Chloride (UPVC) for lighting and power branch circuit, unless otherwise
noted in plans.
5. All conduit installations shall be run parallel or perpendicular to building lines.
6. Provide pull boxes whenever necessary although not shown on plan, also provide guide
G.I. wire on empty conduits for spare circuit provision.
7. All non-current carrying metal parts of electrical equipment shall be effectively
grounded. Connection to ground rod shall be exposed readily accessible for inspection.
8. All materials to be used shall be brand new and of the top approved for both location
and purposed intended.
9. Minimum size of branch circuit conductors shall be 3.5 mm 2 THHN Cu for power and
lighting system in raceway conduit 15 mm dia. for IMC and 20 mm dia. for UPVC, wire
shall be insulated for 600 Volts, all circuit breaker for branch circuit shall be bolt-on type
and must be rated with a minimum of 10 kAIC.
10. All panelboard, enclosed panel circuit breaker shall be manufactured from code gauge
steel sheet (gauge 16 min.) and painted with light gray enamel over coat of rust
inhibitor.
11. All conduit sleeves and floor slot penetration through electrical room, wall and closet
spaces shall be properly sealed with fire retardant materials to maintain fire resistive
ratings of floor openings.
12. Recommended brand of electrical materials to be used shall as follows:
a) Wires and cables = Phelp dodge or Columbia
b) Circuit breakers = G.E.
c) Wiring devices = National or Toshiba
d) PVC conduit = Neltex or Atlanta
e) RSC / IMC conduit = Matsushita
13. Mounting heights of Devices shall be as follows:
a) Panelboards = 1.80 m from center top most breaker to Floor Finished Level (FFL)
b) Wall switches = 1.40 m from F.F.L.
c) Convenience outlet = 0.30 m from F.F.L.
d) Other equipment outlet = as shown on plans/verify from Architect / Engineer.
14. The Electrical contractor shall coordinate with other trades for the exact location of
motors, mounting height of all visible wiring devices, lighting fixtures and the likes.
15. Any discrepancies between plans and specifications shall be referred to Engineer and/or
Architect.
16. All electrical works herein shall be done under the direct and immediate supervision of a
duly licensed Electrical Engineer or Registered Master Electrician.
17. Wire color coding are as follows:
a) Phase conductors = R-red, Y-yellow and B-blue for lines 1, 2, and 3 respectively
b) Neutral conductors = White or Gray
c) Ground conductor = Green
