onic dispersions.

Acronal V 275 ap can also be modified with natural resins,

provided these are added in the form of solution or disper-
sion, however, it has limited compatibility with esters, aliphatic
& aromatic hydrocarbons.

Acronal V 275 ap is also compatible with Plasticizers such as

Plastilit 3060, Palatinol® & Palamoll® grades.

Applications :

Acronal V 275 ap is used for the production of dispersion-

based sealants which show high elastic recovery and good
low-temperature flexibility.

Acronal V 275 ap can also be used in production of adhe-

sives for laying PVC floor coverings and carpets with many
different backings. Such adhesives show good quick grab
and heat stability.

Processing :

Acronal V 275 ap is processed with fillers in usual mixers.

Vacuum planetary mixers have proven suitable for producing
sealants. In order to gain optimal filler acceptance the pH of
the dispersion should be raised to 8 by means of 10 % so-
dium hydroxide solution and stabilized by means of a dispers-
ing agent.

Commercially available antifoams are suitable for suppress-

ing foam. It is usually sufficient to add 0.02 – 0.2 % defoamer,
calculated on the sealant or adhesive mix.

We recommend addition of in-can preservatives to protect

materials based on Acronal V 275 ap from microbial attack.
The suitability of such additives must be verified and moni-
tored in trials.

Manufacturers must carry out their own trials for developing

products based on Acronal V 275 ap, in manufacture and
use, the compatibility of their components and final perform-
ance is affected by a large number of factors, which we can-
not cover exhaustively in our own trials.

Storage

Provided that Acronal V 275 ap is stored in tightly closed con-

tainers or tanks and not kept under direct sunlight, it has a
shelf life of approximately 6 months.

Acronal V 275 ap should not be allowed to come into contact

with any unprotected metals except stainless steel during
storage and processing.
