EASE Module 3 Triangle Congruence

This document provides a module on triangle congruence for secondary education mathematics. It explains that triangle congruence can be used to prove that segments and angles are congruent by establishing a correspondence between two triangles where corresponding angles and sides are congruent. The module gives examples of using the angle-side-angle, side-angle-side, and side-side-side criteria to prove triangles are congruent and thereby show corresponding parts are also congruent. Students are given 10 practice problems applying triangle congruence to formally prove statements.

What this module is about

This module is about using triangle congruence to prove congruent segments

and angles. You will understand that a correspondence between two triangles is a
congruence if the corresponding angle and corresponding sides are congruent.

What you are expected to learn

This module is designed for you to:

1. prove congruent segments and angles using the conditions for triangle
congruence.

2. solve routine and non-routine problems.
