Users are often stuck with multiple products that have separate silos
of data – each with their own expensive vendor specific storage and
infrastructure. They also struggle with inconsistent user interfaces,
limited data protection options, cumbersome recovery, and data in silos
that cannot be easily accessed or leveraged. This disjointed approach
results in increased hardware, management, and service costs.

COMMVAULT® SNAPSHOT MANAGEMENT
TECHNOLOGY
Unlike traditional snapshot solutions, Commvault’s snapshot management
technology, IntelliSnap®, can efficiently protect a wide range of enterprise
environments including multi-vendor storage, file systems, applications,
and hypervisors. This dramatically simplifies management, since
administrators can initiate snapshots using a consistent process and user
interface regardless of the application or storage platform. By integrating
tightly with host applications and heterogeneous hardware arrays,
Commvault software creates application consistent snapshots, indexes
the content, and can optionally drive backup or DR copies to secondary
disk, tape, or cloud storage.

In addition, organizations can deploy Commvault Backup Appliances to
further simplify backup management, setup, and service. These turnkey,
all-in-one appliances seamlessly scale via plug-and-play expansion
to meet the needs of remote offices to large enterprise data centers.
Companies can go from power up to backup in less than one hour, and
enjoy peace of mind with Commvault as the single point of contact for all
hardware and software support.
Commvault has the industry’s first converged process for backup, archive
and reporting from a single data collection and common infrastructure.

additional overhead. Commvault software also makes it easy to manage and move files and emails based on user-
defined policies to the most cost-effective storage including disk, tape or cloud.
Commvault also includes integrated reporting and advanced analytics so that companies can leverage their data
in support of eDiscovery, regulatory compliance, and other business needs. As always, all data managed and
protected by Commvault software is retained in the virtual repository so it can be quickly recovered, accessed, and
leveraged when needed.
Your data protection, backup and recovery solution should cover the full range of data sources, file types, storage
media and backup modes — from snapshots to streaming. Learn more at commvault.com/backup.
