Research Design
The researcher chose a Survey Research Design because it best served to answer
the questions and the purposes of the study. The survey research is one in which a group
of people or items is studied by collecting and analyzing data from only a few people or
items considered to be representative of the entire group. In other words, only a part of
the population is studied, and findings from this are expected to be generalized to the
entire population (Nworgu 1991:68). Similary, McBurney (1994:170) defines the survey
sampling methods.
is descriptive study because it involved the collection of data concerning the effect of one-

This study was conducted in Tagum City, Davao del Norte particularly at
Tagum City National High School, DepEd Division of Tagum City. Table 1 shows the
distribution of respondents. The subjects for the qualitative study were the whole

hundred sixty-seven (367) were females and three hundred twenty-seven (327) were
males. From the total population, ten (10) participants were purposively chosen based
on specified criteria for the qualitative study. The sample is 0.012% of the population.
Among the ten, five (5) are males which comprised 0.0126% of the male population and
five (5) are females which was 0.113% of the female population.
