Guidelines For Standardization of Colour Code Scheme On OHE Mas

(1) This document provides guidelines for standardizing a colour code scheme on overhead equipment (OHE) masts in order to easily identify special features and provide important information to railway staff. (2) It outlines 15 specific applications of colour codes for things like leaning masts, critical implantation distances, and rail level markings. (3) Safety is a priority, as caution signs and isolation procedures are recommended for masts holding two sections or with isolators.

CAMTECH/E/14-15/Colour Code – OHE Mast/1.0 1

INTRODUCTION

Colour coding is required on different

OHE mast having some special feature like rail
marking, implantation etc. There are many
methods of marking (colour coding) on critical
OHE mast which are being followed by Zonal
Railways.

With a view to standardize the same

CAMTECH, Gwalior proposed for
standardization of colour coding scheme on OHE
mast. While proposing this ACTM & the
practices being followed at different railways
have been effort.

In this pocket book the references are

given as an when they are required .This will be
helpful for Railways for adopting uniform colour
coding scheme for OHE mast for easy
identification/ indication for convenience of TrD
staff.
