Torque indications are based on the assumption that a plastic deformation of the thread does not take place. The
achievable torque depends largely on the nut used. KÖCO supplies only studs, not complete sets. Therefore, the
torque data are to be regarded as indicative only. A coefficient of friction of 0.18 is assumed both in the thread
and between the nut and the base.
The studs should not be loaded to the calculated yield point. A safety factor must be used, which can be found in
the applicable regulations.
