Troubleshooting

“The software update is not performed”

1. You have multiple update files in your USB memory stick, blocking the update system to
choose the correct one.
- Clean the files and keep only the wanted update, and try again.
2. Your USB memory stick is not FAT32 formatted or somehow otherwise not compatible
- Please try another USB memory stick
3. Your MCTC Controllers CPU Module is not compatible.
- Please verify by checking “Prerequisites”

“The software update is performed but it is not a fresh install”

By default the update process will try to keep the configuration, recipes, materials and logs.
In case you want to force that everything is removed before the update, you can add an
empty file on the USB memory stick named “mctc-clean” (Note: no file extension), in the
“Preparing the USB memory stick” step.

“After performing a software update my USB memory stick is reported to have a problem”
You did not remove the USB device properly, please check the step in the “Installing the
update” to remove the USB memory stick safely.
