Trade Visit to Thailand
The Electrical Association of Sarawak and Sabah (EASS) organised a
trade visit to Thailand in September 2008 to understand the country’s
electricity transmission and its future plan. The delegation was led by
EASS Chairman, Mr Hii Hua Chuon.
The electrical industry and commercial
development in Thailand are more
advanced. During the visit, they
observed that all sizes of electricity
cables appeared on a single pole in the
village area. This helps to cut
construction materials cost and provide
space for the surrounding. The Thai
manufactured highline transmission
cable is widely used in Sarawak. Mr Fruitful briefing – A souvenir presentation was held after the briefing.
