Call Drop Analysis

The document discusses various cases of call drops that occurred in a WCDMA/3G network. It describes 7 cases where calls were dropped due to issues like servers creating a degraded signal environment, bad coverage requiring an audit of adjacent sites, and the need for parameter changes and site redesigns to improve handover radii. The document encourages engineers and technicians to explore more articles on call drop issues on the provided website and subscribe to the company's YouTube channel.

CALL DROP CASSES IN WCDMA/3G

CASE 1 (MS2)
In this scenario SC-103 is serving Active set and call drop happened on SC-
102. Both are related to same site 5497, SC-102 remained in MNs list but
not ready to handover except having good signals. Call drop occurred due
to not happening of Intra frequency handover and bad coverage.
Parameters audit is required for this site and change the handover radius.

CASE 2 (MS2)
Multi servers creating degraded EcNo environment and there are lot of
neighbors are missing.
CASE 3 (MS2)
Dropped call was experienced near 4248 due to degradation of EcNo
Environment while RSCP is good for all servers. Audit and redesign
required.

CASE 4 (MS1)
No call dropped found. Due to bad coverage “HANDOVER FROM UTRAN”
occurred again and again. Audit is required for different sites.
CASE 5 (MS1)
No call dropped found. Duege to bad covera“HANDOVER FROM UTRAN”
occurred again and again. Audit is required for different sites.

CASE 6 (MS1)
Call dropped is observed due to bad coverage. Adjacent sites audit is
required.
CASE 7 (MS1)
Call dropped is experienced due to bad RF environment coverage. Adjacent
sites audit is required.
