I wish to advise that a decision has been made on this application and visas have been granted
on 16 July 2015 to the applicant(s) listed in the attached Visa Grant Notice, which contains
important information about your visa(s).
Please keep a copy of this letter and the Visa Grant Notice in a safe place for your reference.
Please note: if your application contained multiple applicants, each applicant that has been
granted a visa will be sent their own Visa Grant Notice. Any other applicants should not make
arrangements to travel to Australia unless they have received their own Visa Grant Notice.
The date on this notification, and the date of visa grant, are according to Australian Eastern
Standard Time [UTC +10] (incorporating Daylight Saving Time [UTC +11], if applicable) on
the relevant day. Depending on your location, these dates may differ by one day from your
local date and may be in the future. Despite this, your Australian visa is already in effect -
there is no need to delay travel to Australia until the commencement of the later day.
After you arrive in Australia, it is still important that you tell us about any changes to your
circumstances as soon as possible. You are required to do this in writing and can use one of
the forms available at www.border.gov.au/about/corporate/information/faqs/i-have-lodged-
my-visa-application-but-things-have-changed-how-do-i-update-my-application
In Australia you can call the Global Feedback Unit on 133 177 between 8:30 am and 4:30
pm Monday to Friday. Further information on our Client Service Charter and how to make
a compliment, complaint or suggestion is available at www.border.gov.au/about/contact/
general-enquiries/enquiries-and-feedback
Yours sincerely

You can access your visa information at any time using Visa Entitlement Verification
Online (VEVO), a free web-based service available 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week.
You should keep this letter in a safe place as it contains useful information which will assist
you when accessing VEVO. To log into VEVO you will need your passport information and
your visa grant number or transaction reference number (if lodged online) listed above. More
information is available at www.border.gov.au/Busi/Visa. Alternatively, if you have a QR
application on your mobile phone device you can use this to access the VEVO website via the
QR code (located on the top right hand side of your letter).
Foreign governments have been informed about Australia’s label-free policy and airline
staff will electronically confirm you have a valid visa before you board the plane to travel to
Australia.
Most countries have specific entry, exit and visa requirements. If you are transiting or exiting
through another country, it is your responsibility to check with the relevant government
authorities. The Australian Government cannot advise on other countries’ requirements.
Polio vaccinations
On 5 May 2014, the World Health Organization (WHO) Director General declared the recent
international spread of wild type polio virus to be a Public Health Emergency of International
Concern under the International Health Regulations (IHR). Nine countries, listed below, have
been identified as having suffered recent outbreaks of polio.
If you are from one of the countries listed below, or have spent 28 days or longer in these
countries on or after 5 May 2014 we encourage you to have a polio vaccination prior to
departing for Australia. Having the vaccination will also assist in eradicating the spread of
polio.
To obtain maximum benefit in assisting with the eradication of the spread of polio, it is
advisable to have the vaccination at least 4 weeks prior to your travel.
If you have questions about your pay and conditions while in Australia, you can contact the
Fair Work Ombudsman for free help.
Visit www.fairwork.gov.au for information for visa holders and international students.
This includes information in 27 languages. There are also a range of helpful videos at
www.youtube.com/fairworkgovau about working in Australia in many languages.
You can also contact the Fair Work Ombudsman by phone within Australia on 13 13 94
(Translating and Interpreting Service 13 14 50).
The Fair Work Information Statement which is available in 27 languages also provides
important information, www.fairwork.gov.au/employee-entitlements/national-employment-
standards/fair-work-information-statement.
Your employer must comply with both Australian workplace laws and immigration laws.
If you are a primary sponsored person, your sponsor is required to meet a number of
sponsorship obligations under Migration legislation to ensure that you are provided with
appropriate terms and conditions of employment. These sponsorship obligations include but
are not limited to your sponsor ensuring that:
● the terms and conditions of your employment are equal to the terms and conditions an
Australian employee receives who performs equivalent work at your workplace
● you only work in your approved occupation and only as an employee of the sponsor or
an associated entity of the sponsor
● your sponsor pays your or your family member’s reasonable and necessary travel costs,
if the costs have not already been paid and have been requested in writing by:
✃ the department on your or your family member’s behalf;
✃ you (including on behalf of your family member); or
✃ your family member (including on behalf of you)
● your sponsor does not take or seek to take any action that would result in you paying for
costs relating to your recruitment, including migration agent costs, or costs associated
with your sponsor becoming an approved sponsor.
Please refer to the department’s website for further details of your sponsor’s sponsorship
obligations at www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/457
Payslips
Employers must issue payslips to you within one (1) working day of your pay day. It is best
practice for these to be written in plain and simple English.
At the end of each financial year, employers have to give you a summary of their income
for the past year. This is called a “Pay As You Go (PAYG) payment summary” or a “Group
Certificate”.
The Australian Taxation Office website can provide you with information in relation to
lodging your tax return, www.ato.gov.au/Individuals/Lodging-your-tax-return/
Employees that are employed on a casual basis will also receive a “casual loading” on top of
their hourly rate in lieu of any annual or sick leave entitlements.
The national minimum wage is reviewed every year and may change.
You can find more information about discrimination, bullying, harassment and protections at
work at www.fairwork.gov.au/employee-entitlements/protections-at-work
Can I get into trouble for talking to the Fair Work Ombudsman?
No. Your employer cannot treat you differently, terminate you or take away your entitlements
for talking to the Fair Work Ombudsman.
Health insurance
Your visa has been granted with condition 8501 which means that you must maintain fully
comprehensive health insurance while you are in Australia.
You may be requested to provide evidence of health insurance at the time of entry to
Australia, or when applying for another visa.
