Hello, All PTE aspirants, I started this journey in July 2019.

After, going
through many YouTube videos and strategies I took PTE in August 1st week, I
got low marks in three sections except speaking part. Then, I started to
recognize my mistakes by getting various feedbacks in telegram groups. I
took test continuously in every 15 days from there to be frank, but I got 70+
in reading, listening, writing and yes speaking its 90 for all three attempts.
Finally, after taking four attempts I understood my weaknesses in RS, SST, RL.
All these days I was using typical templates, the key is not with templates but
techniques and strategies. Finally, on my 5th attempt 26th November 2019 I
took PTE with different approach, I felt really excited and happy after
seeing my scorecard. I know many people struggling to get 79+ marks, below
I have shared my strategies and methods to attain your target score.
 For READ ALOUD (RA)

Number of Questions – 6
Marks (approximately) – Reading/speaking – 22 marks each
I practiced from firefly predictions. It's very important task for reading as well as
speaking. Tip is don’t be too slow, speed is the key.
 Don’t misspell the word
 Don’t add extra words
 Don’t fumble
 Be cautious with the plural or singular words. For example: “things” don’t
spell it as “thing”

 For REPEAT SENTENCE (RS)

Number of Questions – 10
Marks (approximately) – Listening/speaking – 22/32 marks

This is very Important task for listening and speaking. I practised regularly, with
continuous practice I in fact got familiarised with nearly 400 sentences. But on
exam day, I got only 3 repeated one’s. So improve short term memory, you will
improve with rigorously practices. Tip: In worst case scenario, mimic the
sentence if you didn’t get it, but don’t fumble. I mimicked two sentences in this
test and still able to score 89 in listening.

as that, follow Jay’s technique. TIP: Don’t Fumble like ah, hmm, Fluency is very
important for speaking tasks. You need to trick software that you are very

 For RETELL LECTURE

Number of Questions – 3
Marks (approximately) – listening/speaking – 10/11 marks

Note down key phrases are as much as you can. I didn't use any standard
templates because content is more important for listening score. But I used
starters like "the lecture was about blaw blaw... The speaker mentioned various
information’s such as blaw blaw... He also talked about.... He explained about.....
Finally, he concluded that.... Overall, it's a quite informative lecture about the
topic.

 For MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTION

I selected only one option. Don't select more than that strictly.

 For REORDER PARAGRAPH

I referred ptestudy materials prediction file its good. You can also check firefly.
TIP: RO marking criteria is different. For example: if 5 sentences are given, it
contains 4 marks, if its 4 sentences the 3 marks.
If ABCDE is the correct order, if you place A B D C E, you will get only 1 mark out
of 4 marks. YES, this is creepy.
then you will get
A+B =1
B+D=0
D+C=0
C+E=0
