It was agreed upon by the contractor through agreement that the contractor shall be responsible for the
maintenance of the registers and records and compliance of all the provisions under the labour laws
such as Minimum Wages Act, Contract Labour Act, Building & Other Construction workers Act, P.F.
Act, ESIC Act, Equal Remuneration Act, Professional Tax Act etc. whichever are applicable to it
from time to time for all the employees/workmen/contract labour/building & other construction
workers employed directly or through its all sub-contractors and shall submit every month to HR
Dept. of LM the copies of specific documents. Also it was agreed that the sub-contractors shall
maintain all registers and records and deposit all fees/deposit/contribution/fund/tax/levy etc. as
prescribed under various labour laws and shall submit the copies of the records which are specifically
required by LM from time to time every month. However, LM having the right to verify by himself or
through his representative all or any of the records maintained by the sub-contractor at any reasonable
time; on verifying the records registers and documents under different labour laws today, the
following irregularities are observed in maintaining different documents and records, in non
deposition of money towards PF/ESI/Cess/Labour welfare fund/Professional tax/ESI compensation,
failure in display of notices/abstracts; and failure in submission of returns in time to respective
authorities. The contractor is asked to comply with the irregularities so observed and communicated
to you through this verification report and shall submit the copies of such registers and records thus
complied fully and specifically asked within seven days. The verification report also contains other
irregularity/s observed while verification. The compliance of all above irregularities will be
decisive in making payment to the contractors towards their invoices and the prompt action on
your part may not delay in release of payment.
