ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS: Students might need further practice with the structures as it is
new for them. Not all the students might understood all the
words and structures used (the teacher might need to speak in
Romanian)

ORGANISATION OF THE CLASS
The teacher greets the pupils and asks them a few ordinary questions (Who is on duty today? /
What day is today? / How are you today? / What’s the weather like today?).
Ss answer and prepare themselves for the lesson.

WARM-UP:
The teacher asks students to introduce themselves and say their favourite number and day of the
week passing a ball from one student to another.
 Hello. I’m Elena. My favourite day is Sunday and I like blue.
Ss play the game and throw the ball from one S to another giving the required information.

HOMEWORK CHECK
The teacher asks them about their homework and checks their notebook. The pupils read their
homework while the other classmates pay attention in order to correct them if necessary.

ANNOUNCING OBJECTIVES:
PROCEDURE: The teacher tells them that they are having a new lesson in which they will
practice telling the ordinal numbers, asking and answering questions and telling months of the year

- to match pictures with labels
PROCEDURES: The teacher uses worksheets and the pupils are asked to match the months of
the year with the right ordinal numbers in order to revise them.
Ss solve the task and tell the class the right answer.

ACTIVITY 4: SPEAKING-MATCHING-READING

AIMS: -to differentiate between verbs and prepositions of movement


-to encourage communication
PROCEDURE: For this activity the teacher reminds students of the difference between
prepositions of place and those of movement. She uses flashcards (a poster – Which way are they
moving?) to illustrate the difference.
The Ss receive worksheets with some pictures and after reading silently and working out the task
they read the story and pin the illustrations in the correct order on the flipchart.

numbers. The Ss are asked to use diferent tenses they studied before.
