Excellence
in
Education
Teachers Parents
Excellence in Education requires the input and dedication of the STUDENTS, PARENTS & TEACHERS. If anyone of them fails to
participate with complete dedication, then the equilibrium is thrown off and results are not as desired.
Achieving academic excellence is extremely difficult if students, parents & teachers do not share a common goal and are not
having clear understanding of what is to be achieved and how is to be achieved.
To help parents, participate in this common goal, we have made “Rao Academic Guide”. This guide will help students & parents
to understand the academic aspects involved to prepare for one of the toughest competitive examinations in the country. In this
guide all the details related to teaching schedule/sequence, lecture plans, timetable, All India Tests, Rao Student Portal - Edumate,
study material and various other important information are mentioned.
We have also incorporated the detailed paper analysis along with the cut offs of last 5 years of NEET which will help students to
understand the weightage of a chapter in their preparation although they must be thorough in each and every chapter.
With so much of detailed information, this guide will be invaluable tool to assist both parents and students in making right
decisions about the student's course of study with us.

2. Welcome Message
Dear Parents and Students,
The classes are about to commence, and we would like to take this opportunity to welcome not only students but their family
members too. In the coming two years, it is not just the student who will have to work hard, but the entire family will have to
work with the student.
Education with daily efforts along with encouragement from family can be fun and then the hard work associated with it never
seems hard. We advise students to make studies a daily habit which will help them to remain motivated in the coming years. The
habit of regularity in studies will not only help them in their forthcoming career-oriented exams, but also help them in later in their
lives.
The academy together with parents and students will help them to make their goals a reality. We will challenge and support
students guiding them on taking the first step towards their career. However, students themselves must take efforts to excel their
knowledge. Without a deep-seated desire in students to compete and excel, the results achieved will be temporary.
We appeal parents to pay special attention on students during the initial three months with us. The initial topics form the
foundation to understand other topics.
We also request students to take every exam conducted by us very seriously. Exams are for testing knowledge & they enforce
students to be regular in studies. Exams test what you know but more than knowledge, they test the state of mind of student,
their temperament. So, if each test is given with the same seriousness as that of final exam, then the students will develop the
ability to face these final exams with ease & confidence which are synonyms of stress and anxiety.
Let's begin the work together to help each other to be our best for the world! Time is very important. The one or two years with
us appear to be a long duration but with the kind of the syllabus students need to prepare, they will find time flying. So, let’s value
it and give the best efforts, result will follow on its own. We are confident the journey with us here will reveal lot of weaknesses,
strengths and opportunities, together we will tackle the weaknesses and thereby increasing the strength to maximize potential in
every opportunity.
If we ask parents to define world in one word, no doubt they would name it as their child's name. Understanding this we assure
parents that your child will be taken care and guided in the right direction by our team. The student here is not just one student,
but a child where we want them to remember us as academic parents for the rest of their lives.

6. Tests
Regular tests are conducted in patterns similar to that of actual competitive exams to ensure that students have sufficient practice
& confidence to score well in the final exams.
Following type of tests are conducted at All India level throughout the course with us:
I. All India Rao Major Test: are conducted while the course is going on. Monthly two such tests are conducted till the portion
is over. Syllabus is declared one month prior to the test although we have tentatively declared the syllabus of each test in
this guide.
II. All India Rao Part Test: are conducted after course completion, along with the ongoing revision classes. The part tests
syllabus is designed in a way to help students revise the syllabus in a planned way. As the name suggests, the entire portion
is divided into 4-5 parts in each subject which is synchronized with the revision classes at the branch
III. All India Rao Full Test: are conducted after All India Rao Part Tests. As the name suggests, the syllabus for these tests is
full portion in each subject.
IV. All India Rao Online Examination: This exam is the online mock test which is held at the outsourced premises of the
examination body which usually conducts online exams like CAT, AIIMS, JEE, GATE etc. All India Rao Online Examination is
conducted to create actual exam conditions for the students. Students are given the real examination experience right from
the online form filling, center allocation, admit card generation, biometric & photo capture at the exam center and appearing
the exam just like the actual JEE Main, JEE Advanced & AIIMS. It is usually conducted every year in December month
depending on the availability of dates. For more detail, visit: https://onlinemock.raoiit.com .
V. All India Rao Offline Examination: This exam is same as All India Rao Online Examination. The only difference is that it is
conducted in offline mode. It is held in April every year. This exam is totally conducted by us creating actual exam atmosphere
and experience to our students right from the exam registration process to exam result declaration process.
VI. Rao KVPY Mock Interview: Rao Academy arranges mock interviews for all the KVPY Stage I qualified students who will
have to appear for final interview round of KVPY stage II. We create a real Interview ambience with Jury Panels consisting of
various subject experts. This helps students to reduce anxiety and nervousness at the time of actual interview. Students learn
to communicate clearly with confidence and create a good first impression. It is conducted in the month of January every
year.
➢ Apart from the above-mentioned tests, the tests named as practice tests, surprise tests or any other name, is the test
conducted at the branch level/ zonal level or city level. We also provide periodic online mock tests in Edumate portal.
“An exam is not only a test of your academic knowledge, it also tests your calmness, stability, courage and
overall exam temperament. Learning is directly proportional to the number of tests appeared & analyzed.”

9. Test Paper Claim
Answer key & solutions of all the test papers conducted are available on same day by 8:00 PM in Edumate.
If students find any error in answer keys or solutions of the test papers, they can raise their claim within one day after
the test.
For e.g. if the test is conducted on Sunday, then students must submit the claims before 3:00 PM on- Monday at their
respective branch only. Accepted or Rejected claims can be confirmed with branch representatives. Claims given after
3:00 PM (Monday) will not be accepted in order to generate rank lists timely.
For tests conducted at the branch level or at city level, Ranklist & performance analysis are not uploaded on Edumate.
Ranklist for such tests is displayed at the center’s notice board. Exams taken in boards pattern are also not uploaded
in edumate since they are subjective in nature.
These camps are free of cost for Rao Academy Students. Duration of the camps are around one month. To participate
in the camp, registration is compulsory for all the students. Registration detail & complete plan are informed one month
prior to the camp.
“All students can learn and succeed but not on the same day in the same way.”
Rao Academy has provided classroom teaching videos of every chapter in Edumate. Students can revise, can come
prepared in class, or use these videos in case if they miss any class. To provide engaging learning experience online,
we are now in process of making more videos with the animation effects which will be added soon in Edumate.
Video lectures also encourage students to revise a topic at his/her own convenience and make learning accessible from
anywhere from various devices, which further solidify their concepts and fundamentals. We also keep on monitoring
the reviews, re-uploading the videos that our students think are hard to grasp or incomplete. Hence, we keep on
improving our content, constantly making it better.

13. Rao Study Material
Our booklets are designed by expert faculties keeping into mind that students should be able to learn & practice the entire topic
with selected set of questions. Booklets are synchronized with day to day classroom teaching. After each class (3 hrs.) student
must solve one practice problem (PP) sheet as homework. Students are advised to solve each question of the booklets. Easy
questions are there to understand the basics of the topic, moderate questions are of completely NEET & AIIMS level questions
and difficult questions have been set of develop the students analytical thinking and to understand the concept of topics in detail.

14. Ready To help Portal
Students having any issue or problem related to any department of Rao Academy, can raise grievance. Rao Academy
has a team which is completely handling Grievances of students. They get the grievance resolved by concerned
department within 48 hrs. The team looking after this section is directly under our managing directors. Also, in case of
any negative feedback regarding any concerned department or authority, we don't disclose the name of the student
and their other details to the same.
Students can be judged by the Attendance in the Doubts Sessions. No Doubts certainly means No Studies.
Online doubts forum is extremely useful for distance learning courses where we ourselves actively participate in the
doubts/discussions posted by the students.
Students will always have doubts sessions at their respective centers. We always promote clearing doubts at the
center right with the teachers which is always more fruitful.

18. Feedback
“I think it’s very important to have a feedback loop, where you’re constantly thinking about what you’ve done
and how you could be doing it better.” – Elon Musk
Believing this, we at Rao Academy take feedback frequently of all departments every 3 months. Feedback can be given
anonymously by not mentioning the student's roll number. Feedback are taken on OMR sheets as well as online. Based
on the feedback taken a detailed analysis is generated and necessary steps are taken if required.
Students can check all the books available at their respective center in Edumate. Students can issue any book for one
week only. If any student exceeds the limit of one week, he/she will have to pay late fine of Rs.30 per day.
Kindly note that as a part of our CSR activity all the fine collected is donated to NGOs associated with us.
Our booklets are designed in a realistic way where student can finish the booklet without piling up along with the
ongoing classes. After every class of 3 hrs., one practice problem sheet in booklet should be done. If this is done by
students, they will be covering entire portion without much stress. Many students spend huge number of hours in
solving 1000's of sums in one chapter, and the result is back logs in various other chapters. What is more important is
practice quality not quantity.
Cover booklet of each chapter timely, then if time permits, students can spend more time is solving questions from
extra practice booklets provided by us.
To enforce this, we schedule homework submission sessions which are also reflected in the timetable of students.
Separate notebooks in each subject are to be made for homework which will help teachers to check homework with
ease.

23. Extra-Curricular Activity
At Rao Academy, it’s not about just hard work and studies. We organize celebration activities at branch during festivals,
Independence Day and other important events. Every year, we come across multitalented students. Some are good in music,
some are good in dance and some in other skills. We just need 1 hour a month for this and this is done to encourage students not
to leave on their hobbies. It also helps them to be stress free.
