The Code of Ethics for Professional Teachers

Article II

The article talks about the relationship between the teacher and the state. In
which the teacher are oblige to send or educate the learners in regards with the
heritage, as well as, to elevate national morality, promote national pride, cultivate
love of country, instill allegiance to the Constitution and respect for all duly
constituted authorities, and promote obedience to the laws of the state. In
addition, teachers are also an implementor of rules or policies in the State, abide
with the school official. Yet they are not allowed to engage any political religious
or other partisan interest, nor collecting any money, services and other related
matter. However, Teachers are given the right or freedom to vote and any other
constitutional rights and responsibilities, as well as, freedom in academic to enjoy
and given privilege to share their researches and investigation. Furthermore,
teacher must not use their position or official authority to influence others to
follow political course of action.

Article X

The article tackles about teachers business. Teachers are given the freedom
or right to have their own business as long as; it will not affect the duty and
responsibility of being a teacher. In such way, that they can maintain their
reputation in financial matters such as, settlement of debts, loans and other
financial affairs. They also prohibit to be an agent of any commercial venture
which furnish textbooks and other school accomodities in the purchase and
disposal, unless the task is given to him or any ways that are provided by the
existing regulations.

Article XI

The article discuss about the teacher as a person. It well said that teacher
plays a crucial rule in the society, especially to the learners. They will stand as a
good leader or model. Therefore, every now and then teacher must be vigilant of
what he is doing or saying. They will hold a great influence in which society
expected to be done by the teacher. Being a teacher they must uphold dignity,
establish self-respect and self-discipline.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF A TEACHER
 To have expert knowledge of the subject area.
 To implement the designated curriculum completely and in due time.
 To plan and implement effective classroom management practices.
 To design and implement effective strategies to develop self-
responsible/independent learners.
 To engage students in active, hands-on, creative problem-based learning.
 To provide opportunities for students to access and use current
technology, resources and information to solve problems.
 To apply appropriate multiple assessment tools and strategies to evaluate
and promote the continuous intellectual development of the students.
 To evaluate students’ performances in an objective, fair and timely
manner.
 To take precautions to protect school records, equipment, materials, and
facilities.
 To model honesty, fairness and ethical conduct.
