1. A (15,5) cyclic code has a generator polynomial g(x) = 1 + x + x2 + x4 + x5 +


x8 + x10. Draw the block diagram of the encoder using feedback shift
register. Find the code polynomial for the message polynomial d(x) = 1 + x2
+ x4 in systematic form.

2. Generate (7,4) cyclic code for generator polynomial g(x)=1+x2+x3.

3. Draw syndrome circuit for the (7, 4) cyclic code generated by g(X) = 1 + X
+ X3 , for the received vector r = (0 0 1 0 1 1 0), detect error.

4. Explain decoding of (2,1,2) convolution code using Viterbi algorithm
