POL and PON
From PON to POL The passive optical LAN (POL) can be viewed as a PON for enterprise applications. Its networking mode and

components of the active and passive parts are similar to those of an FTTH network. Regarding the network scale

and types of access users, optimization is made on the POL to meet enterprise customers' requirements. Using

What Is PON? the POL technology, an enterprise can combine data, voice, video, and wireless access systems into one optical

network. Therefore, POL has advantages over other technologies.
