Mascot Design Contest RULES & Regulations
The Mascot Design Contest is open to individuals who are over the age
of 18, excluding employees of Beach Majors GmbH (herein referred as
"Beach Majors" or “Design Contest Sponsor”), its parent and affiliated
companies, representatives, dealers and agents, Beach Majors
suppliers and judges, and those with whom they are domiciled.
1. The Mascot Design Contest Period starts at 00:01AM on

December 15th, 2015 and continues until 11:59PM on February 29th,
2016 the “Mascot Design Contest Closing Date”. All times are
Central European Time.
2. TO ENTER the Mascot Design Contest send a sketch or

cardboard figure showing your design of the mascot from all angles
to either [email protected] or Beach Majors GmbH, Attn.
Sabrina Haas, Hasnerstraße 123, 1160 Vienna, Austria. The
submitted draft/cardboard figure needs to further meet the
following requirements:
 Represent the colors of the Corporate Design of Beach Majors
(blue, yellow, white) and include the Swatch Major Series logo
 Fit beach volleyball and represent the lifestyle associated with it
(fun, summer, party)
 Should be comprehensible internationally due to the different
locations the Swatch Major Series takes place in
 Must be realistic, i.e. it must be possible to produce a costume
based on the drawing/cardboard figure
 Size and name of the mascot need to be indicated.
 The design has to be created by the person submitting it and
may not have been used elsewhere before.
All submissions meeting the above-mentioned requirements which
are handed-in by 11:59PM via email or by 5PM via mail on February
29th will be considered valid.
Any attempt or suspected attempt to enter more than once per
person, or any entry methods not authorized by these rules, shall
be deemed as tampering and will void your entry. All entries that
are incomplete or do not conform to or satisfy the Design Contest
Sponsor may disqualify any condition of the rules.
3. PRIZE - Participants are eligible to win two VIP tickets including

two overnight stays at the Swatch Major Series tournament in
Poreč/Croatia as well as two Mikasa beach volleyballs and two
player’s jerseys (approx. retail value €3,000.00).
4. DRAW – The best design will be selected by an expert jury. The
selected entrant will be contacted by email or telephone at the
email address or telephone number indicated on his/her entry.
5. Prizes must be accepted as awarded and are not transferable,

redeemable, refundable or exchangeable for cash and not
replaceable if lost/stolen. The Design Contest Sponsor reserves the
right to substitute a prize with a prize of at least equal value in the
event of the unavailability, for whatever reason, of the advertised
prize.
6. By entering this Design Contest and/or accepting a prize, entrants

transfer any rights on the entered design to the Design Contest
Sponsor and consent to the use of their entry design, name, city of
residence, any photographs or other likenesses for publicity,
advertising or informational purposes carried out by the Design
Contest Sponsor and/or its advertising agencies in any medium or
format without further notice or compensation.
7. The Design Contest Sponsor is not responsible for any errors or

omissions in printing or advertising this Design Contest. All entries
become the property of the Design Contest Sponsor.
8. The Design Contest Sponsor is collecting personal data about

entrants for the purpose of administering this Design Contest. No
further informational or marketing communications will be received
by entrants.
9. By entering this Design Contest, entrants release and hold harmless

the Design Contest Sponsor, its advertising and promotional
agencies and the Design Contest judge(s), their affiliates and
respective directors, officers, owners, partners, employees, agents,
dealers, representatives, successors and assigns (collectively the
“Releasees”) from any liability in connection with this Design
Contest or, if declared a winner, the prize.
10.This Design Contest will be run in accordance with these rules,

subject to amendment by the Design Contest Sponsor. Entrants
must comply with these rules, and will be deemed to have received
and understood the rules by participating in the Design Contest.
The terms of this Design Contest, as set out in these rules, are not
subject to amendment or counter-offer, except as set out herein.
11.The Design Contest Sponsor assumes no responsibility for failure of
the internet or the website during the contest period, for any
problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or
lines, computer on-line systems, servers, access providers,
computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or traffic
congestion on the internet or at any website, or any combination
thereof including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other
person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any
material in the design contest. Any attempt to deliberately damage
any website or to undermine the legitimate operation of this
promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an
attempt be made, the Design Contest Sponsor reserves the right to
seek remedies and damages to the fullest extent permitted by law,
including criminal prosecution.
12.If the identity of an entrant is disputed, the authorized account

holder of the e-mail address and telephone number submitted at
the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant. The individual
assigned to the indicated telephone number and the e-mail address
for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address is
considered the authorized account holder. A selected entrant may
be required to provide proof that he/she is the authorized account
holder of the e-mail address and telephone number associated with
the selected entry. All entries handed-in via e-mail must be
submitted from a valid e-mail account that may be identified by
reverse domain name search. The sole determinant of time for the
purposes of receipt of a valid entry in this Design Contest will be
the Design Contest server machine(s).
