A1. Paint Me A Picture of…….


A picture is very timeless, whether or not we have been part of a
Historical event, a remarkable experience, or an unforgettable
setting, if a picture is shown to us, we can never deny that it seems
as we are part of it and we are there when that moment happened.
it represents a vivid image that will forever remind us of the things
and places that are valuable to us and vital to our identity.

In this activity, the class will be divided into 3: The past, the present
And the future. Members of the group will have to reinact the most
Iconic events in the past and present time. While the third group will
will show the possible future in this generation. Each group must pull
out all the props and available material to be included in the
reinactment. Members can either serve as a historical person, an I
improvised props with emotions and expressions .
After everything is settled, everyone will freeze as if it was a picture.
One representative will discuss what their chosen picture is.

The Political Self

POLITICS- Politics is a process of making decisions that applies to all


members of a group.

POLITICAL SELF- A public identity one makes and constructs about


him/herself to be.

TYPES OF POLITICAL SELF IN THE PHILIPPINES


Left Wing (Liberalism)
- A political philospohy based on the ideals of liberty and
equality.

Right Wing (Conservatism)


- A political and social philosophy promoting traditional social
institutions in the context of culture and civilization.

SOCIAL ORGANIZATION
*Race, Nationality, Language/dialect, Culture, Ethnicity, Gender
Identity, Religion, and Disability.

DEVELOPING A FILIPINO IDENTITY: Values, Traits, Community and


Institutional Factors.
In the pre-colonial era, the system of government wide-ranging in units
called BALANGAY.

The Spanish colonizer made a kinship pact known as the Sanduguan or


Blood compact. It was primarily grounded for the Filipino value as a
promise of Katapatan.
The reformist Dr. Jose Rizal used his talents and skill to enlighten the
Filipino people about the oppressive structures brought by the
colonizers, he burned in their hearts the spirit of patriotism.
