RECOMMENDATION

In this laboratory survey, there are some recommendation that can de done in order to
improve and get an accurate data.

During the survey, all members should keep in touch each other. Walkie talkie and
phone are the best medium that can be used as connecting medium for all member. This is
because there are few constructions at the site that block us to communicate. In order to get
precise data, make sure all data recorded at the same time interval which are 15 minutes every
interval. All member who are taking data should connected and referring to time interval that
controlled by only one person.

Besides, choose the surveying point (place) properly to facilitate the surveyor counting
the number of vehicles clearly. For certain angle of view, the surveyor can not see from which
direction the vehicle entering and leaving the roundabout. Plus, the heavy lorry and bus that
moving very slow will also block the view if surveyor taking data near the roundabout.

Next, the hand data collection is an ancient technique of collecting data and need the
corporation of all member. In facts for this survey, there are 12 members combining from two
groups to collect data for all 12 routes. We should use the sophisticated advance technology
such as camera and drone so that it can be done by few members and the data can be analysed
at home (in front of PC).

Instead of doing the data collection for only one hour, the data can be collected by
hourly pattern. The traffic can be counted during the day and night since the traffic flow varies
from day to night. As for the urban areas, the peak in the morning followed by peak during
afternoon which is the lunch time and also there might be new peak in the late evening. Since
the are a lot of office in the study area, the traffic volume during weekday and weekend must
be different.

Lastly, the most important thing should be considered is our safety. All the surveyor
should wear safety vest at all time. It will draw attention for all road users noticed that we are
there to avoid any unexpected accident occur.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the experiment was conducted successful and the desired objectives are
achieved. The roundabout near to Mutiara Residence is assigned collecting data from 12 ways
on the roundabout. The traffic counts at the roundabout can be used to identify which routes
are used most, and to either improve the roundabout or provide an alternative if there is an
excessive amount of vehicles. From the analysis, A-C and D-C are the highest percentage of
vehicle pass the route compere to the others. This is because both A-C and D-C is the main
route. In addition, the students acknowledge on the method of determining traffic flow for
junction of the roundabout.
