APPOINTMENT OF JUNIOR URBAN PLANNERS FOR SMART CITY MISSION PROJECT

No.KUIDFC/7/SCM/2017-18 Date: 05.07.2018

Seven cities from Karnataka are selected in the prestigious Smart Cities Mission. Karnataka Urban
Infrastructure Development and Finance Corporation Limited (KUIDFC) is appointed as the State Level
Nodal Agency (SLNA) for implementation of SCM. For projectivisation of the sub-projects / smart city
proposals of the cities, the SLNA now invites application from the eligible candidates for the post of
Junior Urban Planner to be placed in KUIDFC, Bengaluru. The interested candidates shall furnish
information in support of the required qualification and experience to carry out the said serv ices.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
1. Bachelor Degree in Urban Planning or Masters in Urban Planning from a recognized
university/institute. Weightage will be given to master degree.
2. Shall have completed Graduation/post graduation on or after 2015-16. Those awaiting results can
also apply.
3. Expertise in GIS shall be preferable
4. Shall have secured minimum 1st class

SELECTION CRITERIA:
The Candidates will be selected based on the documents submitted in support of the above eligibility
criteria. Subsequently, personal interview will be carried out by a Selection Committee, if found
necessary.
NUMBER OF POSTS & LOCATION:
Two (2) at Smart Cites Mission Cell, KUIDFC, Bengaluru.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Review the SCP/DPR
a. Study the list of projects outlined in approved SCP
b. Prepare plan for projectivisation of SCP
c. Ensure that the projects proposed are as per planning norms
2. Assist SLNA in reviewing the DPRs prepared by PMC/SPVs and ensure synergy between SCP &
DPR
3. The specific focus of the Urban Planner shall be in
a. Urban Infrastructure Planning
b. Urban transportation Planning
c. Environmental Planning
d. Economic Planning
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
1. The duration of contract will be for 2 year subject to renewal every year
2. The salary will be commensurate with qualification & experience
