English Final Exam

The strangest day of my life

One day, when I went to Medellin with two friends on my vacation, we stayed in the

rarest hostel ever. We arrived in the morning to the hostel and we just leave our bags and did

not observed the hostel in it totality. Later, when we finished the tour around the city, we

entered to the hostel. Then I closed the door and when I looked back I saw many creepy dolls in

the walls.They were normal dolls but very old and creepy, yet I saw the scariest thing ever, there

were many voodoo dolls stuck in the wall. After that, my friends and I started to noticed all the

creepy things in the hostel. There were many frames of mirror and photos in the wall with out

mirrors and the photos. It was really strange, I was freaked out for the strange decoration of the

hostel, but that's not the only thing we were worried about. Soon the persons that manager the

hostel appeared. They were an old marriage couple, the lady was the one that talked with us

because the old men saw us an immediately leave the room. Then the old lady take us to our

bedroom. After a while, I realized that one of my sweaters was missing so I started to look

everywhere like crazy because it was one of my favorites sweaters. Finally, I decided to asked

to the lady if she had seen my sweater. Suddenly, I looked behind her and there was her

husband in a chair carrying my sweater in his hands. I didn't know what to do, I was really freak

out, it was so rare and creepy. Immediately, the lady returned to me my sweater and apologized

while the old men was starring at me. I went back to my room and told my friends what just

happened, so we decided to leave tomorrow morning to another place. That day was probably

one of the strangest day I have ever had.

In the image we can see how the rain is falling in a dark lagoon. We cannot see the

whole lagoon, we can see just a part of the water, but it is probably a lagoon because there are

many plants on the water. The little plants that are in the lagoon are color green, a light one,

and has a little of color yellow in some parts of the leaves. In the center of the image we see a

piece of a green stem that has a branch with a big leaf and a little one too. This stem looks like

a little boat. On top of the stem it is a tiny soft pink frog which is clinging of one leg from the

branch. The little pink frog is looking up to the rain that is falling. The rain is not strong;

anyway it makes the dark lagoon water moves. The water looks cold and the weather is humid

and rainy. We can clearly smell the rain and the wet ground. In the back of the image we can

se the background with a blurry effect. It looks green so there are more plants. The little frog is

sailing on the branch until the rain stops.

Why Should You Study English?

There are three reason why you should study English. The first reason is that studying

English opens you many opportunities to work. Nowadays, many good jobs required at least

people know one more language. For example, if you live in a touristic place, like the

Galápagos Islands, you have many options to work with tourist and make your on business.

Second reason is that studying English facilitates you to communicate with other people

around the world. You can make international friends and travel to different countries, which

is the third reason. English will facilitate the communication with people all over the world and

you gain knowledge from other cultures. In conclusion, thanks to knowing English, an

international language, you have more opportunities to work in good jobs, communicate with

international people and make new friends, travel around the world and learn different

cultures.
How to Make a Lemon Pie

If you want to make a delicious lemon pie you do not have to be a master chef, just

need to follow these easy steps. The first step is to buy all the ingredients, you are going to

need condensed milk, eggs, cookies, lemon and butter. Then you should mash the cookies until

it become powder. Next, you should mix the cookies with the butter in the mold you are going

to bake the lemon pie. You should push the cookies powder to the bottom and sides of the

mold until the powder stay stuck with the butter in the whole mold. Second, you should

squeeze the lemons and mix the juice with the condensed milk. Meanwhile, put the mold with

the base made of cookies in the oven. Then take the eggs and separate the egg yolk and

white. After that, add just the egg yolks to the condensed milk and lemon juice mix. Next, take

out the mold of the oven and put inside the mix. Finally, put the mold with all the mix inside

the oven, like ten minutes. Then take it out and put the lemon pie into the fridge. After fifteen

minutes, take the lemon pie from the fridge and it is ready to eat! Invite some friends if you

want to share and sweeten your life.

Comparison: Santa Cruz vs. San Cristobal

Galápagos Islands is a beautiful place located in Ecuador, South America. This place

known worldwide is conform by thirteen island and four of them are inhabited. Santa Cruz and

San Cristóbal have the greatest quantity of population and their names are the most recognized

by tourist because both Islands have their own airport. These two Islands have many things in

common such as their flora, fauna, and cool local people also called residents, but there also

have many differences between them. In Santa Cruz you can find more restaurant and stores

than in San Cristobal, probably because in Santa Cruz the population is bigger. Also in Santa

Cruz prices are higher. Differently from San Cristobal, the food and alcohol have a higher cost.
Another different between the two island area the beaches, in Santa Cruz the beaches are far

from the town, whereas in San Cristobal the beaches are close the town with an easy access to

them. In San Cristobal pier we can see a lot of sea lions, in contrast, in Santa Cruz pier, there are

with luck a few of them. Santa Cruz town has grown a lot, there are big buildings, a lot of

houses, huge hotels, a lot of cars and the population is growing more and more, Santa Cruz is

looking know like a little city. On the other hand, San Cristobal is more simple, and population

is smaller, so there are less cars, houses and buildings in San Cristobal. To concluded, Santa

Cruz and San Cristobal have many differences between them, but these differences make each

island unique and perfect.

A Happy Marriage

In my opinion, a happy marriage comes down to loving each other. Being married

involves spending each day of your life with this person that you promised to love no matter

what. There will be bad times but commitment, confidence, respect, and many other values will

be needed to overcome any obstacle. The marriage will change passing the time, both persons

will discover new things about their partners, some will be not be liked so it is necessary to talk

and being compressive. For example, my mom and dad have a happy marriage. They always

talk, laugh and do activities together such as cooking or exercise. They have taught me religion

is not the center of marriage as many people thing, the key consist in working as a team. By the

way, of course they have had some problems during they marriage, nothing is perfect in this life

and also is very important to mention that there is no happiness without some obstacles to

overcome. In conclusion, if you want to have a happy marriage you have to know that there are

going to be fight, different thoughts and opinions, discussion, misunderstandings and many

other dislikes between you and your partner, but over the years you have to learn how to

manager all these obstacles with your partner. So the result of these hard work is going to be a

happy marriage.
