CncGcoder® HD ActiveSync® Manual


Installing ActiveSync® and ActiveSync® Drivers

Follow the instructions below to insure the proper


installation of Microsoft® ActiveSync®.

1. Download Microsoft® ActiveSync® 4.1 and


follow the onscreen instructions to install.
The download is available as a link on
www.cncgcoder.com.

2. Reboot the computer.

3. Once the computer restarts, click Cancel on


the Get Connected screen.

4. Download the CncGcoder® USB

ActiveSync® Drivers from


www.cncgcoder.com and save to the
desktop. Extract the three zipped files to a
folder on the desktop.

5. Plug the ActiveSync® Cable into the bottom


of the handheld and then the USB port on
the PC.

6. The Found New Hardware Wizard will start.


Click Next.

7. Select Search for a suitable driver for my
device and click Next.

8. Select Specify a location and click Next.

9. Click Browse to select the folder created on


the desktop in step4.

10. Navigate to the folder the USB ActiveSync®


driver was extracted to in step 4. The .inf file
will automatically be selected. Click Open.

11. Click Next to continue installing the driver.

12. Click Yes to overwrite the file. It is


important to use the file that comes with the
CncGcoder® HD drivers.

13. Click Finish to complete the installation.

14. Delete the folders and files downloaded to


the desktop in steps 1 and 4.

Setting up ActiveSync® Partnership

Setting up a partnership with ActiveSync® will automatically mount the CncGcoder® HD as a

drive called Mobile Device under My Computer on the PC.

1. Select Yes to set up a partnership and click


Next.

2. Enter the name of the Handheld. The


default name is CncGcoder and click Next.

3. Microsoft® ActiveSync® will display


Connected Synchronized when it has
completed.

4. Select Help -> Microsoft ActiveSync Help


for more information and support on
ActiveSync®.
