Math Lesson Plan

This lesson plan focuses on teaching subtraction to 1st grade students using story problems. Students will understand subtraction concepts by listening to subtraction stories involving objects like donuts. They will then practice subtracting within 10 by acting out story problems using objects and dice. To assess learning, students will solve word problems by writing equations and drawings, and will retell original story problems using numbers rolled on dice. The lesson aims to help students represent and solve subtraction word problems within 10.
