As seen from the google map, these areas are surrounded with mountains and
not connected with the national high-way or national road. With these proposed areas,
this will benefit the people living in these places in terms of living, education system,
livelihood and others. Moreover, this connection helps the areas to implement services
such as free-wifi, e-education, e-health, cybersecurity, e-governance, etc. Using
microwave radio link in order to interconnect these areas with the backbone plan, since
these areas are landlocked and surrounded with mountains.

Tandag Surigao Proposed Microwave Link
Del Sur
Microwave link is the best communication system that can be used in this area
because the terrain of Surigao del Sur and Surigao del Norte is mountainous. A
microwave link is a communications system that uses a beam of radio waves in the
microwave frequency range to transmit information between two fixed locations on the
earth. It provides the users with high-speed internet access without the need for cable
connections resulting to a faster and less costly. Since the terrain is mountainous, it is
best to use microwave link because it can able to penetrate rain, fog, and snow, which
means bad weather doesn’t disrupt transmission. Antennas that will be used in this
microwave links are highly directional, which means they tightly focus the transmitted
energy, and receive energy mainly from one specific direction. An enough reason that
they should have a microwave link communication system is that Surigao has a
growing population of 154,137 has an annual regular income of ₱678,256,607.49. As
technology rises, internet is a need to almost all of the people most specially the
students that’s why they should have a faster internet connection.
