Globalisation: - HARMAN has expanded to several countries from


US where it was founded to Europe and even Asia. Not only that, but
it has also expanded the products to professional mixing boards
from Soundcraft, consumer audio gear under JBL, Infinity and
Epicure loudspeakers, professional audio systems from UREI,
Soundcraft, Allen & Heath, dbx, Studer, DOD, Quested, etc., speaker
and microphone technology for consumer electronics, and lighting
from Martin Professional.

Innovation: -HARMAN has begun innovations since the 1950s from


the first FM Tuner to the first car radio/CD/navigation system, in the
1990s to the new global connected vehicle "ecosystem" in 2019.

Change: - One big change incorporated by HARMAN was to merge


as a sub-division into Samsung, and become a part of Samsung.
Other changes have been to shift from a founder-run, top-down
culture to one that is customer-centric and driven by innovation.
Other changes made were to increase collaboration between
different divisions of the company, incorporating a start-up mindset
within the company, and incubating new ideas from within the
employees of the company.

Culture: - HARMAN has agility that empowers growth, diversity that


spurs innovative thinking, a global teamwork that creates world-
class solutions and gives challenges to bring out the best in
employees. These help in creating a great cultural environment.

Ethics: - HARMAN focuses on regulatory compliance in each region


they are operating and does business with integrity and honesty.

emissions, conserve and protect water supplies, curb energy usage
and lower the amount of waste generated. HARMAN strives for the

environment.

Strategy: - HARMAN has strategized and innovated with relentless


focus on cost-leadership, execution and quality. It has also brought
diverse individuals and ideas together through expansion into other
markets and countries. HARMAN has incorporated a diversified
product portfolio, a global and diverse workforce with deep
technical expertise, as its strategy, and is now owned by Samsung
as a part of its strategy.
