Short-listing criteria for admission to Ph.D. programme (BMZ) in semester-II 2019-20 is as follows.

Candidates with National fellowships allowing them to avail funding for the programme are eligible to appear in the
interview subject to satisfying Institute’s qualifying criteria.

Candidates, who have appeared for Ph.D. interview at the Centre twice and did not qualify, shall not be shortlisted as
per Center’s policy.

# Currently registered students in Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs pursuing BTech/BE/Integrated MTech/Integrated MSc
programmes, who have completed 6 semesters or more and have CGPA of 8.0 or above (on a 10-point scale), the requirement of
qualification in GATE/National Examination is waived off. Such students must obtain a CGPA of 8.0 (80% in aggregate marks) or above at
the time of graduation, and before they formally register for the PhD programme.

Graduates of CFTIs in BTech/BE/Integrated MTech/Integrated MSc programmes with a final graduation CGPA of more than 8.0 (80%
aggregate marks), the requirement of qualification in GATE/National Examination is waived off.

The interview for shortlisted candidates is scheduled on 2 Dec 2019 from 9:00 am onwards in CBME Committee room,
IIT Delhi.

You are advised to ensure that you meet the shortlisting criteria given above. If you are eligible for being interviewed in
the Ph.D. program, kindly make it convenient to attend the interview. Please note that candidates will interview only
after verification of all eligibility documents. Please report with all the documents for verification at 8.30 am at the
venue. To-and-fro travel reimbursement from your place of residence to New Delhi will be provided, if interviewed, as
per Institute norms. You need to provide appropriate proof (copy of tickets) for claiming the same.

Accommodation for boys and girls in hostels at IIT Delhi will be provided (on a shared basis) on payment of nominal
charges.
