BBDS 3013 GLOBAL SOURCING - COURSEWORK INSTRUCTION

Grading and Evaluation

I. Group Report: Fifty (50) marks

Students are required to submit a group assignment report by 9th August 2019, Friday
(Week 11).

Report writing question:

Based on the current global sourcing trend, analyse and select a company from the
technological gadgets industry that implement dual sourcing strategy and discuss on
the following:

1) Analyse the strategic plan and design the strategic sourcing framework
implemented by the company's operation and sourcing team.
2) Discuss the challenges faced during the implementation of dual sourcing strategies.

Report writing guidelines
a. You are required to work in groups of 5 members or less.
b. The 3500 words report should contain the following:
 Cover page with TARUC logo, course code and title, course, class
and group, name and student ID number of every member in the
group, title, submission date, lecturer’s and tutor’s name.
 Assessment Criteria for Report Writing.
 Plagiarism statement properly filled in and signed.
 Plagiarism level must NOT exceed 15% - students are required to
use Turnitin to check for the plagiarism level.
 Table of contents.
 Appendixes (photos/pictures of characters, diagram or any other
materials that would enhance the report).
 References (textbooks, additional reading, articles and internet
resources).
c. For late submission, there will be a reduction of absolute marks
from the mark’s score submitted:
 Late 1 to 3 days after deadline of submission: minus 10 marks;
 Late 4 to 7 days after deadline of submission: minus 20 marks;
 Late more than 7 days after deadline of submission: 0 marks
d. You are required to submit/upload a copy of your report in Google
Classroom.

II. Individual Report: Fifty (50) marks
Students are required to submit an individual recommendation along with the group
report by 9th August 2019, Friday (Week 11).

Report writing question:

Based on the group report that you have prepared, further discuss on the following:

1) Analyse the gaps of the framework designed by your group.


2) Suggest solutions or improvements that you may have implemented in handling the
gaps discussed.

a. You are required to work individually.
b. The 1500 words report should contain the following:

Your final examination format will comprise of:


Section A: Case Study (40 marks)
Section B: Answer ALL 3 essay questions of equal marks (20 marks each)
