Required Task

As a recent graduate from Coventry University you have been asked to carry out independent
research and create a 750 word poster and 5 minute video recording describing the key
principles of effective business communications. The video recording is to be circulated to all
members of the staff within your chosen organisation.

When creating your poster and recording your video think about;

What? Why? When? Where? How?

This will assist you to analyse, evaluate and reason your points of view.

Remember to support your concept/academic argument with an examples as it allows the reader
to appreciate the rigour and your understanding of the task. You will need to reference all sources
using the Coventry University Harvard Style of Referencing.

Late Submission
Late Submission If you are not able to complete your coursework on time due to extenuating
circumstances, the ONLY way to receive an extension (up to 5 working days) or a deferral
(anything longer than 5 working days) is to contact a Registry team member located at your
specific CU site.
 Extenuating circumstances are defined by CU as ‘genuine circumstances beyond your control
or ability to foresee, and which seriously impair your assessed work’.
 Please note that you will need to provide third party evidence to support your reasoning for
requiring an extension or deferral.
 Your tutor can NOT approve an extension, if you have not completed the official forms your
