1. Opening Activity (1 Minute)
T: Assalamualaikum Wr. Wb
S: Wa’alaikumsalam Wr. Wb
T: How are you today class?
S: We are fine Ms, how about you?
T: I am fine, thank you. So, Sarifah, where is your book?
S: my book is on the table
T: where is tha chairs, Sania?
S: The chairs are above the floor
T: so, in the previous meeting, what have we learned?
S: we have learned about preposition
T: what are them?
S: on, under, above, beside, between, below
T: very good, today’s topic related to those preposition, here are a text, please read it, i give you 1 minute
for that
S: yes, Ms

T: that is descriptive text, have you ever heard about

T: Then today we are going to talk topic that related to it
S: so, what is descriptive text? 2 minutes
T: descriptive text is a text that describe us about people,
things, animals whether its form, color, shape or amount.
But, in this meeting, we are going to learn only about how
to describe the amount or the number of things especially
things around us. Do you understand class?
S: yes Ms
S: what there is and there are mean Ms?
T: There is and there are is known as agreement in English.
Agreement is the suitability between subject and verb.
There are and there is ae used to describe existence or
presence of something. In Indonesian, we know it as ‘Ada’.
S: so what are the diferencies both of them? Questioning
T: there is is used to describe singular noun while there are is
used to describe prular noun. For example, there is a pen on
the book. How many pen?
S: one
T: there are books on the table, how many book?
S: many
T: then do you understand so far?
S: yes Ms,
T: so how you describe the number of you in this class? What 3 minutes
will you say to describe it?
S: There are 10 students in this class
T: Very good students. This is Arnita? How you use there is or
there are for this sentence, Hanani
S: Arnita is next to Sarifah
T: Good job, how about, those are vans, Julia?
S: There are vans on the silling
T: excellent, how about, this is whiteboad, class? Associatin
S: there is a white board in front of the class
T: here are some pictures pictures, i am going to provide it to Experiment 1 minute

Look at the picture and make your sentence about what are
in the picture by using there is and there as much as you
can? Do you understand?

T: okay, then who wants to be the volonteer to show what have
you done

T: yes please come forward
Students show their task in front of the class, while the other
students listening to their friend, teacher and students correct
their answer together and comunicating each other
