Smart Home Automation Using IOT

This project aims to develop a smart home automation system using IoT. Sensors will monitor appliances and send status updates to a smartphone. The system focuses on building a wireless home security system that sends alerts to the owner via the internet if any faults or crimes occur. Modern homes are increasingly shifting from conventional switches to centralized control systems allowing remote operation. This provides a modern solution for elderly or disabled people to control appliances without needing to physically access wall switches. The system uses an embedded microcontroller and Wi-Fi module to allow remote control and management of all electrical appliances in the home from a smartphone.

SMART HOME AUTOMATION USING

IOT
ABSTRACT
The main objective of this project is to develop a smart home
automation system using IOT in which appliances are connected
to sensors and sensors give status of appliances to the smart
phone. As technology is advancing so houses are also getting
smarter. Home automation not only refers to reduce human
efforts but also energy efficiency and time saving. This IOT
based project focuses on building a smart wireless home security
system which sends alerts to the owner by using internet in case
of any fault or crime. Modern houses are gradually shifting from
conventional switches to centralized control system, involving
remote controlled switches. Presently, conventional wall
switches located in different parts of the house makes it difficult
for the user to go near them to operate. Even more it becomes
more difficult for the elderly or physically handicapped people
to do so. Remote controlled home automation system provides a
most modern solution with smart phones. By using embedded
micro controller and Wi-Fi module, all the electrical appliances
inside the home can be controlled and managed.
