1) The respondents had average levels of Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness, Neuroticism, and Openness according to the Big Five personality traits. 2) The respondents had a preference for reflective and complex music, as well as upbeat and conventional music. 3) There were significant relationships between some personality traits and certain musical preferences. Extraversion and Openness correlated with a preference for reflective and complex music. Agreeableness correlated with preferences for intense and rebellious music and upbeat and conventional music. Neuroticism correlated negatively with preferences for upbeat and conventional music and energetic and rhythmic music.
