Mobilization and cleaning site before commencing actul physical

work and during contract period and demobilization after completion
of the works under contract accepted by Engineer. This work shall
also covers clayey cleaning and clearing, cutting or filling, dressing
the project area on and in the ground to an extent that all the events
1.01 of works of the project can be executed smoothly in a working sqm 870
environment with a praticular attention on safety and security in all
respects, and to stockpile the end outcome to place for disposal
agreed by the Engineer and be proportionate to the percentage
progress of work under contract as a whole in all respects and
approved by the engineer.

Labour charge for dismantling and removal of the following brick

work, RCC & CC works etc with adequate precaution and protection
against damage of connected members, walls, floors, false ceiling
and adjoining parts of the building including necessary scaffolding,
cleaning & straightening required rebar's in position, cutting and
removing excess re-bar removing the dismantled materials/debris
1.02 (anywhere) from the site after inventory, staking the salvage
materials in a suitable place for reuse, mending good any damages
to the building & surrounding as per instruction of Engineer.
(Debris/salvaged materials will be the property of Contractor as
specified below and to be removed from the site at no cost of icddr,b)

Reinforcement work with supply of different diameter deformed bar

high strength reinforcing steel having yield strength min. 60 KSI (60
grade) including supply of 24 SWG black wire for binding and
1.03 welding the reinforcing bars if required, fabrication, bending, removal
of rusts & loose scale and proper placement in position, making and
placing C.C covering blocks, necessary scaffolding etc. all complete
as per drawing, specification & instruction of the Engineer

10" thick (250mm) Non-exposed Brick work with 1st class

bricks in cement sand (min. F.M. 1.5) mortar (1 : 5) in foundation,
plinth and step exterior walls in/c filling the interstices with mortar,
raking out joints, cleaning and soaking the bricks at least for 24

at least for 7 days etc. all complete including cost of water, electricity
& other charges (measurement to given as 250 mm width for one
brick length and 375 mm for one brick and a half brick length). as per

5" thick (125mm thick) brick work with 1st class bricks in
cement sand (F.M.1.2) mortar (1:4) and making bond with connected
walls in/c necessary scaffolding, raking out joints, cleaning and
1.05 soaking the bricks for at least 24 hours before use and washing of sqm 60
sand curing at least for 7 days in all floors including cost of water,
electricity & other charges etc. all complete as per direction of the
engineer-in-charge.

Minimum 1/2" to 3/4" thick cement sand (F.M. 1.2) plaster (1:4)
having with fresh cement (conforming to BDS 232) to wall both inner-
and outer surface, rain drop bit, finishing the corner and edges in/c
1.06 screening of sand cleaning the surface, chipping, scaffolding and sqm 100
curing at least for 7 days, cost of water, electricity & other charges
etc. all complete in all respect as per drawing and direction of the
engineer-in-charge.

Minimum 1/2" to 3/4" thick cement sand (F.M. 1.2) plaster (1:4)
with net cement finishing having with fresh cement (conforming to
BDS 232) to wall both inner-and outer surface, rain drop bit, finishing

Providing and making welded splice by welding of minimum 300mm

length at the lap of main reinforcement in re- bar cage to be placed

f'c 28 Mpa (4060 psi) at 28 days on standard cylinder, with cement
conforming to BDS 232 & ASTM standard, with approves high range
admixture using steel materials as shutter, scaffolding, best quality
coarse sand (FM 2.5), 19mm down graded stone chips (Pak,
ur/Volagonj) including washing, screening, through proper sieves,
making, placing in placing in position the centering shuttering,
1.11 M.S.sheet, steel forms, 40mm M.Spipes/50x40mm adjustable
pipes(jug pipes) with 150x150x6mm base plate having pipe wall
thickness 2.5 to 4.5mm as props, making shuttering water-tight,
placing of reinforcement in position, concrete mixing with mixer
machine, casting in forms, compacting by vibrator machine and
curing at lest for 28 days, removing centering shuttering, necessary
scaffolding etc. all complete including cost of water, electricity, testing

Centering and shuttering, including strutting, propping etc. (The

formwork must be rigid enough both in and out of plane, to make the

40 mmx 40 mm x 5 mm, flat bars etc.) and removal of fom after

Mode of Payment:
Progress payment shall only be claimed by the contractor upon completion of 25% (twenty five percent) works of the contract value and icddr,b will allow a maximum of 4 (Four) running bills against the works,

i)1st Running bill after completion of 25% of works
ii) 2nd Running bill after completion of 20% of works
iii) 3rd Running bill after completion of 20% of works

Note:
i. The Contractor shall provide temporary facilities like site office, Store, temporary utility services connection etc. and prepare site fully workable at no cost to the icddrb in addition
of contract and instruction of the Engineer.
ii. icddrb will provide necessary water and electricity from nearest sources(through tested electric and water meter) at the site, cost of the meter and monthly bill will be paid by the
Contractor but necessary arrangement (wiring, piping, laborect etc.) to be done by contractor at his own cost from existing icddrb sources.
