    ONLY APPROVED FIXTURING UNITS FOR HOLDING THE MTS DURING ASSEMBLY. THE USE
    OF ANY OTHER INSTALLATION TOOL WILL VOID ALL WARRANTIES.

    WARNING: IF YOUR INSTALLATION INCLUDES A LOW-PROFILE GAS BLOCK, WHICH FITS


    BENEATH THE HANDGUARD, IT MUST BE DETERMINED THAT THE GAS BLOCK SLIDES
    ONTO THE BARREL WITHOUT DIFFICULTY PRIOR TO INSTALLATION. ADDITIONALLY, WE
    RECOMMEND HAVING THE BARREL DIMPLED FOR THE GAS BLOCK SET SCREWS (REFER
    TO RECOMMENDED PART NUMBERS FOR LOW PROFILE GAS BLOCKS).

    NOTE: IF YOUR BARREL AND GAS BLOCK DO NOT FIT TOGETHER PROPERLY, MEGA ARMS

    Insure that you have the proper installation
    tools, including ft-lbs torque wrench,
    appropriate wrench for gas block, and DPMS
    Panther Claw.
    Included with each Upper Receiver
    MKM AR-15:
    Forward Assist, Dust Cover Door, Dust Cover
    Door Pin, Barrel Nut, & Wrench.

    MKM 308: Dust Cover Door, Dust Cover Door


    Pin, Set Screw, Barrel Nut, & Wrench.

    Pictured at left is an example of a barrel


    with dimples, ready to receive a low
    profile gas block.

    Step 1
    Apply a coat of lithium grease or anti-seize
    equivalent for easier assembly and
    removal.

    Step 2
    Insert the barrel into the MKM, and insure
    that the alignment pin locates in the
    alignment slot. This is done by checking
    the barrel extension seat.

    Step 3
    There should be no gap between the
    barrel extension and its mating surface,
    as pictured at right. Warning: if barrel
    extension is not seated correctly, it will
    cause irreparable damage.

    Step 4
    Apply a generous amount of anti-seize or
    lithium grease equivalent on the threaded
    portion of the barrel nut.

    Step 5
    Using a ½ “torque wrench, tighten to 65
    foot pounds. Loosen and re-torque (Note:
    Because the square for the torque wrench
    is offset from the center of the wrench, 65
    ft.-lbs. on the wrench translates to 75 foot
    pounds on the nut. Do not try to
    compensate for the offset. This has
    already been calculated.)

    Step 6
    Affix gas block to barrel and tighten
    accordingly.

    Step 7
    Slide hand guard over flange of upper and
    prepare for installing torx screws.

    Step 8
    Using a T15 torx wrench, install torx screws
    into your MKM. Loctite may be used on the
    screws. We do not specify use, but if
    desired, Loctite 222ms low strength is
    preferred.

    Step 9
    After properly installing your hand guard,
    your MKM is ready for use. Please contact
